Pretty much the worst restaurant in Palm Springs. Horrible food. Horrible service. It is a good location.

Great spot - fast service - great drinks! Love the ambiance and people watching in downtown Palm Springs while enjoying the food and drinks here. It quickly became one of our regular weekly spots!

This is a fun place to stop in and have a margarita and some nachos while sitting on the patio and enjoying the sites of palm spring!! The choice of cocktails were great but what made my experience even better was the manager Bruce !! It is so rare these days that a manager is so attentive as Bruce ! He was such a great host , I felt like I was a guest in his home! Thanks Bruce❤️

A group of us came to Palm Springs for a long weekend. On a Friday night we decided to go to El Patron for drinks. Well let me tell you, the manager, Bruce, was so much fun and welcoming we ended up not just having a couple drinks but apps and dinner too. Say hi to Bruce if you come here, and I do recommend that you do. We had a variety of margaritas followed by shots of Patron, chips & tacos. We were staying at a hotel within walking distance, so all is good!

Food is good, service is good too.I ordered the batter fried cauliflower. A little heavy (greasy) but tasty with spicy aoli sauce. The cauliflower was really crunchy and well cooked inside. For my main dish, I had the taquitos with rice and beans. The taquitos were crunchy ( first few bites, before the pico de gallo made the rest soft). Next time order with that on the side. The rice and beans were well cooked. Good flavor. The service was friendly. Even thought you have to walk up to place your order, they bring the food to your table. The ambiance was ok, outside was a bit cold (even with the heaters).

Just cuz your in downtown palm springs you cant rip us off and we have to go to counter to order and if you need refills or anything extra you have to stop eating and go get it yourself !!!

Despite its wonderful location, this establishment unfortunately falls short in several areas. While the staff was friendly and welcoming, the service left much to be desired. Guests are required to leave their table to place orders inside, pay, and also leave a tip. The 'servers' then bring the drinks and food to the table. The seating area does provide a great spot for people-watching and enjoying a cold beverage or cocktail.During my visit with a group of five, we opted for drinks and decided on a flight of margaritas along with a beer. The margarita flight comprised of four well-sized drinks, with half of us requesting frozen margaritas and the other half on the rocks. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to accommodate these simple requests, which left us a bit disappointed. Despite this, the margarita I tried was good, albeit on the sweeter side with a subtle taste of citrus. Overall, the venue is suitable for relaxing with friends, enjoying a cold beer, and engaging in conversations, but it seems they may not offer much beyond that.In conclusion, while the setting and atmosphere have potential, the limited service and inability to fulfill basic beverage requests detracted from the overall experience.

Decided to try out this Mexican restaurant while we were on vacation. So glad we came here! The tacos were huge and tasty. They don't skimp when this fill the tacos. The drinks were pretty also. You need to come check them out on Taco Tuesday, they have $2 tacos along with a free draft beer. Well worth it.

We loved El Patron! Very friendly service and delicious food. Our group of four all loved our dishes - beer-battered shrimp, tacos (chicken and al pastor) and ceviche. We also had queso fundido for the table. House margarita on the rocks was also delicious!! They accommodated us on a rare rainy night in Palm Springs and made us feel very comfortable. We will be back again.

Easy and casual, get a table when you arrive then order at the bar giving your table number. Good selection of tacos and other dishes, including vegan options. Prices seemed reasonable. Tuesday is Taco Tuesday with deals on a selection of meat and vegan tacos. Friendly and helpful staff and good ambience.
