Really wanted to give them 5 stars. My flat white was tasting like milk with a hint of espresso. Was planning on getting a blueberry muffin but only doughnuts were in the pastry case. Nice greeting from the young lady who took my order.

Stopped by after seeing all the great reviews and tried a regular unsweetened iced latte. It was fine, but not as impressive as I’d hoped. Maybe the shop shines more with their creative specialty drinks, but for a simple espresso-and-milk coffee, it was just okay. Probably just a matter of taste since I don’t go for sweet drinks.

After our not so great matcha experience at Cartel Coffee we decided to try Ernest Coffee which several locals recommended. It turned out to be a great choice.
I ordered a vanilla iced latte and my wife went with a vanilla matcha latte. Both drinks were exactly what we were hoping for. The matcha had a nice balance of milk and flavoring without any bitterness and my latte was smooth and just the right amount of sweet. Nothing over the top or wildly unique but both were well made and really satisfying.

The shop itself is spacious and inviting with cool decor and plenty of seating for studying hanging out or even playing games. Service was a bit quiet and very quick with more of a straightforward next in line vibe but everyone got their drinks promptly and it did not affect the quality. Overall we were happy to finally find a spot in Palm Springs that serves a solid matcha and a reliable latte. Ernest Coffee is a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a well made drink and we are glad we stopped in.

Ernest Coffee is one of those rare spots that just gets everything right. The staff are always friendly and quick, making the whole experience feel easy and welcoming. Their drinks are consistently delicious, I'm hooked on the vanilla lavender iced coffee (house-made syrups make a big difference). And the pastries? Way too good to pass up.

Loved the lavender vanilla latte and pistachio rose latte. They played some house music while sipping my brew. About 6 people here on a Sunday morning. Some workers from KP came grabbed their coffee and bounced. Definitely recommend this spot over La Jefa Coffee.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be an unpaid extra in a rom-com you didn’t sign up for, look no further than this coffee shop. It was 115° in Palm Springs, no AC, and I’m sweating like a latte in August. The wait? Long enough for me to start questioning life choices. While I stood there melting, my barista dream team (short hair + braids) was busy filming the next season of Flirt Fest with an off-the-clock coworker. My coffee? Apparently, it had been “on the side” for 10 minutes. Funny, since I’d been standing right in front of them, staring directly at their “audition” for The Bachelor: Coffee Shop Edition. When I dared to ask if my drink was ready, Short Hair hit me with the classic “I called it out loud” excuse. Spoiler: she didn’t. Zero apology, zero effort — but full marks for attitude. I left irritated, accidentally forgetting my phone in my heatstroke haze. When I ran back for it, Short Hair laughed in my face while Braids refused to help because “she didn’t see anything.” Customer service level? Elite villain origin story. I ended up running around the shop looking for the phone myself with no help at all while they stood there like judges. By the end, I half-expected Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me I was being Punk’d. Coffee was great. Service: Social experiment meets reality TV in a sauna.

While my experience of Ernest Coffee is limited to a single visit and drink, based off that alone I can give it a 5-star rating. The interior design is very cool, mixing together the vibes of a library and an old-school wooden building. The staff are down-to-earth and eager to help.

I ordered a cortado with oat milk and it was delicious. Only took about 3-4 minutes to receive it as well. The shop had about 5-6 other customers inside, who were mostly working on laptops. It was a pleasant temperature, atmosphere, and the coffee was top-tier.
