Chef cooks cooks delicious food and the service is spot on. Great wine list that is a value! Try the elk, exquisite.
My first time in this little cute restaurant. Very charming, nice vibe and ambience. Food was very delicious. Especially colorful, tomato salads. The owner of the restaurant Fred is a very friendly.person. I had to committed to anyone visiting Palm Springs or live in Palm Springs to support this little restaurant. Located North Palm Canyon. I will definitely go back there again with friends.
First time at Freddie's, and it was great! Three of us enjoyed the evening. We appreciated the elevated food served in a casual atmosphere. The service was personal and attentive, and we particularly enjoyed Chef Freddie being present in the dining room to chat with us. Lovely evening. Thanks! We'll be back.
Excellent food and service once again. Mushroom strudel, escargot and a delicious fish soup started us off, followed by Caesar salad, elk medallions and the chef's special fish of the day. Outstanding!!
Freddie is the best French chef in the valley! The space is intimate and away from the crowds, yet just a couple minutes north of downtown Palm Springs. The service is personal and professional. You will experience a menu you don't see anywhere else. The Peppered Elk Medallions has been a centerpiece of the menu since the opening, and always a go-to - the most tender and lean cut will have you returning time and time again! His cod special with teriyaki drizzle will melt in your mouth! All deserts are homemade and not to be missed!
As always, Freddies provided a delicious meal, tasty cocktails, excellent wine, and of course, Freddie's raconteur.
The place looks like it would be a dive, but the food was excellent. I had the mushroom strudel as an appetizer and it was the star for me. My entree was the elk medallions which I've never had before. They were tender and not gamey at all. The demi glaze on the elk was very tasty. Chef Fredric came out and checked on us a couple of times. He's quite funny. Our server Marco was very attentive and friendly. It's now on our places to go back to when we visit Palm Springs.
We went to Freddy's Kitchen tonight to give it a try and I was very impressed! A selective but intriguing menu, a friendly staff, and Chef Freddy would frequently come and check on us. We started the evening with a special limoncello martini that Chef Freddy created and then on to escargot, which was quite tasty. I was set on the elk medallions, but when I heard about the special miso cod we decided to order both to share! The elk was delicious and tender, but the cod truly stole the show! I appreciate Chef Freddy's attention to detail and the fact the vegetables were cooked perfectly and flavorful! I will definitely be returning!
Hidden gem in Palm Springs. Food was well prepared and delicious. Chef himself comes out to chat with customers. Overall a great experience.
Freddie is the best host in the world. Get the mushroom filo appetizer, french onion soup and chocolate mousse. You will fall in love.

Similar to the other comments. Great food. Fairly priced. Attentive service. A gem in Palm Springs. It's nice to see a local restaurant catering to locals vs. so many of the other restaurants that gouge their customers as they cater to tourists.
We had elk medallions (a regular menus item) and rack of lamb (special). Our first visit to this cozy little French bistro, warmly welcomed by server and the chef /owner himself. Food was outstanding.
First timers here (4) the Short Rib bolognese was terrific the Elk Medallions were tender and very flavorful the cod was enjoyed as were the deserts. We will return
It was our first time here and it definitely won't be our last. Loved the food, the vibe, the waiter, and the chef! A really fun and delicious experience.
6 of us went for dessert night - excellent everything chocolate mousse with whipped cream and flourless chocolate cake! Yummy!
