Very obvious they are cutting corners at this restaurant. Pizza has become almost inedible with a chewy, thick crust...no crunch or crispiness at all. Toppings sparse...mushrooms tasted like canned. When a pizza costs in excess of $35 and most goes uneaten, it's time to find a new pizza place...and one that treats their customers better. Their ' gruff but friendly' waitstaff and bartenders leave much to be desired...

How disappointing. I had been in hospital and could not drive tonight. Just wanted a nice Hot pizza and Bill's does not do UberbEats. I ordered at 648pm and did not receive the order until 812pm
Then the food was ice cold. Drivers also switched so clearly there was a screw up with something. Horrible pizza and ice cold garlic bread. Also was over fifty dollars. Waste of money and soooo disappointing. Easy order. Do not know what took so long. Not sure if Uber Eats driver screwed up too. Not a dinner while on vacation and in so much pain. Will never order again. I wish I could have drove and got Bill's pizza. However, could not with pain medication. Hope for response and refund. Also, no clue with Uber Eats drivers and why one driver who almost arrived and then changed to another. Never experienced that before.

It was technically average. the service was invasive. It appeared that the wait staff thought he was being attentive and supportive, but it came off as invasive and uncomfortable. Will not be going back

We’ve been going for years consistently until they stopped serving lunch during Covid. Every once in a while we order takeout and get their blackened salmon. They allow two sides but the only pasta that is available is penne as a single serving. Otherwise you have to get two servings of a different pasta. As a diabetic, we are limited to the amount of pasta allowed, this was explained and it didn’t seem to matter. The hostess suggested sharing the double order of vegetables the other person ordered. The last suggestion was to order an additional side of something else at our expense. We both decided after all these years that they’re not customer friendly and we’ll spend our money elsewhere. Palm Springs has many choices and Johnny Costa’s is our go to Italian. They are professional and they aim to please the customer.

Dietary restrictions: They don’t care if you have dietary restrictions.

When we got to Giuseppe's, everything seemed chill at first. The server, this woman with short blond hair and glasses, was super helpful in the beginning. We told her a bunch of times about our pork allergy, and she seemed to get it. She even went through the whole menu with us and kept going back to the kitchen to double-check. In the end, she suggested a few dishes, and we decided on a pasta and a pizza with chicken.
We started eating, and after a while, we didn't feel well.
We asked her about it, and at first, she acted clueless and went back to the kitchen. We had trusted her recommendations and what she was saying because she knew we did not want pork. Then she came back and said,
"Oh yeah, it's pork" and we were shocked and confused.
We were so mad. We asked for the manager, thinking they'd take it seriously, but nope. They apologized loosely like it was no big deal. She also said, "If you need to go the hospital, let us know what happens tomorrow, we're open from 4 to something but for now, we'll take the pasta off your bill." We were speechless by how unserious they were taking that. Then eventually the owner came over, and things got even worse. Instead of owning up to it, he actually tried to blame us, saying we should've known what pancetta was. Like if their server didn't know what it was, how did he expect us to? He kept laughing and smiling about it. I was literally complaining about this situation and he kept cutting me off with sarcastic remarks.

Meanwhile, the staff in the back were laughing like this was all some kind of joke. The owner kept trying to make it seem like we were overreacting, and when we said we didn't think we should pay for this (considering now things were handled) and he said, "Of course you don't." As if all of this is just to not pay when everybody is very aware we spent a lot of time with our server to ensure there's no pork from the time we got there. That little response said a lot about his character, how he runs his business and how that reflects on his staff.

It was honestly one of the worst dining experiences l've had. Getting treated like this over something as serious as a food allergy was just awful. They didn't care at all, and it was so disrespectful. Don't recommend going there.

We arrived at Giuseppe, and our server, who had short blond hair and glasses, was really helpful at first. I told her multiple times that I’m allergic to pork and can’t eat anything with it. We went through the entire menu together, and she even went to the kitchen several times to double-check. Eventually, she recommended three dishes. We ended up ordering a pasta dish and a Greek pizza with chicken, both of which she assured us had no pork.

When the food arrived, we started eating, but I noticed something tasted off. We asked the server about it, and at first, she acted like she didn’t know. Then she came back and casually said, “Yeah, it’s pork.”

We asked to speak to the manager, but all they did was apologize as if it wasn’t a big deal and offered to take that one dish off the receipt. Then the owner came over, and the situation got even worse. Instead of taking responsibility, he tried to blame us, saying we should have known what pancetta is. How does that make sense? If we didn’t know, how is it okay that the server didn’t know either?

The atmosphere was completely disrespectful. Employees in the back were laughing, and no one seemed to take the situation seriously. The owner kept gaslighting us and making us feel like we were overreacting. When we asked not to pay for the meal because I genuinely felt sick, he laughed and said, “Of course you don’t” as if it was a joke.

This was a horrible experience, and I felt completely disrespected and unsafe. Allergies are not something to mess around with, and the way they handled this was unacceptable.

We brought friends from the other end of the valley to Giuseppe’s as we have been there many times before and never been disappointed. Tonight was quite different. Our waitress took our order for a single Diet Pepsi but apparently there was an equipment issue but “service would be restored shortly”. Two more requests before the Pepsi actually arrived although other guests around us received their mixed drinks without delay. Bread was offered but only appeared with a second request. Meals came and the first 3 of 4 came together and were correct although there was some initial uncertainty about one of the dishes being gluten free. My wife left the table to ensure our guests were in receipt of the correct pasta. While our guests received generous portions that they were unable to finish, my meal, the veal Picata was skimpy with three small strips of veal, and a very small portion of pasta. It felt like Shrinkflation had come to Giuseppe’s. The first 3 dishes were piping hot, mine had clearly been sitting waiting for the other 3. The waitress did not return to our table until we were more than half way through our dinners. A tip was left in spite of our experience but we did leave disappointed. 😔

Dietary restrictions: I recognize the challenges with providing service to those with dietary restrictions but we called in advance to ensure that gluten free options were available and made our requirements clear when we ordered. There was a hesitation about what was served when the food arrived which, given the other service issues, gave us pause to trust that what was served was in fact gluten free. In the end it was correct and we thank you for that but still wanted to share our experience with your staff in this area.

I came here for the first time to pick up an online order. I was only inside for a few minutes but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the colors of the walls and table cloths. I ordered a meat lovers pizza. Personal size. Good 4 slice sizes. It's a very savory pizza. The inside of the restaurant has a bar. I wasn't able to see what beers are on draft but next time I will sit at the bar.

I ordered a small Greek pizza to go. I had a drink at the bar while I waited for the pizza. The staff was friendly. The pizza was good. However, it was a little pricey. It was around $30 for a small pizza.

Our quick visit to grab takeout was very nice. Loved the Chicago style pizza. Prepared very fast, the food was fresh from the oven. People at the front desk were very nice and hospitable. Will definitely come back when in Palm Springs.
