Pictures from the hotel are very edited to look much cleaner and nicer than the hotel really is. Hallways and rooms were showing years of neglect in maintenance. Stains on carpet, mold in bathroom. Purposeful dark lighting in attempt to hide defects. The location is the only reason they are able to charge this much. Luckily only stayed for one night. Will never stay here again.

It was in the center of everything. The rooms were cozy. The ice maker was out of service on the second floor. The spa is on the bottom floor. The pool looks cute. We didn't get a chance to use it. After hours, access was easy and convenient.

Nearby activities: Arenas is nearby.

Food and drinks: They have a bar and restaurant.

Taken advantage of when I went in there drunk . Overcharged me big time. Asked management for some courtesy and they were too interested in collecting the rest of the 25 for a 1 night stay. Total 598.00

Zoso review

I 100% do NOT recommend this hotel.

Rude staff (not all, but the majority), unhelpful, with a surly attitude. Tried checking in early, given all manner of excuses. Three couples tried to check in early after me. All three got rooms within minutes, I kept enquiring and was told to come back, one couple came down and complained they didn’t have a Mountain View. They were given a new room immediately. I was fobbed off I would be emailed when the room would be ready, I was never emailed. Finally asked again for my room, having awaited 45 mins at this point, the person said my room needed to be signed off and he’d let me know and told me to wait in the lobby. Waited another 45 minutes in the lobby, massive speakers playing very loud 80’s pop, it was intolerable. The chap in question eventually disappeared, so finally had enough and asked his colleague, who supplied me with a room immediately, no apology, no explanation, it was near 4pm by this time having arrived initially at noon. I understand that check in is 4pm, but if you are checking in people that arrived after you to the hotel, why did I have to wait, it makes no sense.

Price. Unless you have to attend an event and stay at this hotel, do NOT book it with them directly, this was my mistake. Four day stay just under $1800 (just under £1400 British pounds). Booked direct last week. Upon checking booking.com during the prolonged wait for my room, their rate for the same room was $900 (£700), nearly a thousand dollars cheaper.

NEVER stay on a Thursday evening, as I found out it’s karaoke night in the lobby. My room was very near the lobby, the huge speakers (already mentioned) in the lobby boomed out an horrendously loud sound, as the handful of customers murdered popular tunes. After a nice evening out I returned to a deafening base thud of attempts at karaoke in my room, it was like it was playing within my room. I’d flown in the day before from the uk, so needed sleep, this was around 9pm, needless to say sleep with that noise would be near impossible. Went to the desk to enquire when said “entertainment” would end, was told they might be able to move me, but I should just stay where I was as it would all be over by 11pm. The lobby is central to a chunk of the main accommodation, quite why they feel it appropriate to play the music so loud is beyond me. Music didn’t stop until well past 11pm. I made it clear I wanted to speak with the manager, I could barely hear the receptionist and had to strain to communicate due to the horrifically loud music (note to Zoso management, why would you put your staff in that situation?) she promised me the manager would be in contact in the morning. Needless to say, I never heard from him. During final check out she offered to go talk to the manager but obviously by that time it was too late.

In the end I cancelled the remaining three days of my stay and moved to the Hilton across the road, £500 cheaper. They could not have been kinder and friendlier, and allowed me to check into a room at 10.50 am. The staff bent over backwards to help, such a departure from what I’d experienced at Zoso.

So as it stands I was charged $360 for one night of hell.

I’ve solo travelled for almost 30 years. This was the most challenging night in a perceived “good” hotel I’ve ever experienced.

0 stars out of 10, avoid!

Food and drinks: The Kitchen, the on-site restaurant, is revamping the menu and the look of the space. Had a taste yesterday. The shrimp tempura are to die for, ditto the sliders. Give it a try, you’ll be glad you did.

Nearby the local drinking establishments and downtown area. This hotel has unfortunately not been renovated or updated in a very long time. Front counter service was excellent. All other service was minimal.

The pool was okay not too much pizazz about it, the hot tub was not working. The food was very delicious inside Simon's, the sangria was also good!! Happy Hour is the way to go!! The drinks otherwise are too pricey.

Was a bit disappointed. Looks luxury in Website but is old. Needs cleaning around Bldg and other areas. Bar & restaurant closed when I was there. They offered Military discount I didn't see on the bill, emailed them, they never answered.

Noteworthy details: See review.

Fun environment and admirable redecoratinon. Valet parking was outstanding and included. However, the shower handle and bathtub plug were broken, and the entryway smelled like mildew.

I booked this room about 6 months in advance from Palm Springs Prideon a whim and I'm so glad that I did. This was my first time coming to palm spring pride so I didn't know what to expect. This hotel is right in the middle of all of the action and the location of some of the ticketed parties held over the weekend. I would definitely return as the staff was friendly and the style was inviting. The only downside was that our room didn't get cleaned until the final day of our 4 day stay, and it was because we caught the cleaning crew in the hallway to ask for towels. I want to chalk it up to the busy weekend and maybe us not using the door sign properly, but we did ask the front desk several times. Despite that it was still fantastic to stay here because it was in walking distance to so many of the shops and restaurants in the area and of course all the excitement of pride weekend. We drove in from Tucson and never had to take our car out of valet. I know there's plenty in Palm Springs that we didn't see but it was exactly what we wanted in our getaway. Thanks for a great first time stay. We're already looking forward to next year.
