I don't know what happened to this location, but the customer service and atmosphere are dreadful. I visited on January 7, 2025, for breakfast after my last experience, which was also disappointing due to poor customer service. This time, the restaurant felt incredibly sad. My waiter must have been the worst I have encountered in over 50 years. I felt like I was disturbing him just by entering the place. When I left and approached the counter to pay without saying a word, he printed my ticket, handed it to me, and immediately turned back to stare at the computer screen.

I gave him my credit card, and he processed it, handing it back to me and expecting a tip, which I provided. He said nothing! I intentionally waited as I folded my receipt, hoping he would at least say something as simple as "Thank you." But there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! His behavior is one of the reasons this establishment feels so sad.

I cannot believe the franchise owner would allow someone like this to damage what was once a wonderful and thriving business in Palm Springs. I used to visit here twice a week, but then they started closing at 3 PM. I have no idea why they would choose to destroy their business by allowing customers to be treated this way. Why even have a dinner menu if you close at 3 PM?

Many issues need to be addressed with this IHOP, but a very simple solution would be to eliminate this individual who is harming your business or consider closing the IHOP altogether. It's essential to take care of your customers with something as basic as "Thank you" to make them feel welcome. Palm Springs has too many dining options for anyone to tolerate this level of disrespect. The days are numbered here at this IHOP unless immediate action is taken to restore the community's faith in this business.

I had breakfast at this restaurant. The food was good and the service excellent. But I witnessed an incident. A white waiter bumping a Latin waiter on purpose. It started an argument between the two and a gossip among the staff. It was an uncomfortable situation. A restaurant like IHOP should have no room for racism and situations that make customers uncomfortable.

Not sure what's going on here.
Service is awesome, food is good still.
But the hours have changed drastically. They close super super early. Forget about a late dinner or anything after that.
If they are that slow at night that they have to close maybe the should run specials or some sort of program. We eat late in the desert and go get food after leaving a bar or event

The food was very bland . Definitely not like IHOP used to be . The service was basic, but food was served quickly. I did get half off on my order, due to a hair being in my eggs . (Eyelash to be exact)
Overall, next time I'll go buy my own eggs and eat at home.

We went to IHOP for my son's birthday breakfast, and it was a delightful experience! The food was absolutely delicious—everything was cooked perfectly, and the pancakes were a big hit. The server was professionally kind, making us feel welcome and ensuring everything was just right. Even though IHOP is a national chain, the service and food quality made it feel like a special occasion. We left full and happy, and I would definitely recommend it for a great breakfast spot!

Sarah Chavez provided horrible service when I went to get my food this morning. While sitting in the lobby after ordering my food she approached me and said “ may I help you” in a very rude manner. She then said it again and then was told by the waiter in Spanish that I ordered and was waiting for my food then she went into her office. I had to advise her that is not how you speak to a paying customer the proper way to approach someone in your business establishment would be “ have you been helped already?” Some people just shouldn’t be in customer service. I submitted the survey and submit review to corporate and waiting for a response

There is this Old hispanic Lady, that looks like the owner or the general manager of the place, when we finished eating and stand up from the table to pay at the front cashier, she went and checked the table and saw that we didn’t leave any tip on the table, so she started saying that we were ordinary people and treating us bad on a very disrespectful way. So then We decided not to tip when paying. tip It’s not mandatory and nobody should be discriminated and forced to tip, especially when it was a very poor service and a very bad food quality. This lady shouldn’t be treating people like that, she needs to be respectful with everybody, they are supposed to be customer oriented. Terrible experience.
