We visited Johns on our return from Joshua Tree. When we initially walked in, we thought they only served burgers, as there menu was not easily visible; somewhat hidden behind the drop ceiling. When we walked back in, we ordered our food at the counter, and had our food delivered at our table, one meal at a time. Each meal was brought out separately, opposed to serving all meals at once/same time. I ordered the Breast of Chicken Dinner, and ended up leaving half of the meal on the plate. I definitely would NOT return. OVERRATED!!!!!

Nostalgic diner, like in the movies. Delicious burgers and fries. Hamburgers around $10, up to $20+ depending on the topping. Clear recommendation and a good alternative to the ubiquitous burger chains. The man behind the counter was very patient with our order and everything was correct afterwards.

Amazing burgers and fries!! The best we have eaten in more than 20 days spent in the USA! Fries that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, burgers with quality meat, incredible taste and fresh vegetables that complement the garnish.

Such a casual relaxing restaurant, I've only had breakfast here, but you get a lot for your money.
Kid-friendliness: It was mostly local folks, not many tourists, the older crowd might not like loud kids. I think they could accommodate for kids.

Fantastic place to visit and eat. The food was great, customers all very friendly as well as the employees. I highly recommend if you're ever in Palm springs California check out this place for dining. You'll be glad you did. I will visit again on my next vacation.

John's is a typical american diner with old but clean interiour. For service you order at the front on your own and then the food is brought to the table. Food is good we had regular hamburgers with french fries.
