The waiter was absolutely so kind and awesome. I was very disappointed that the menu did not match what I read online and there was nothing I wanted to eat there. There was a fire pit but no heaters outside and virtually no other diners were there. I decided to leave before ordering. I had the impression that overall the staff was a little bit demoralized from the lack of business. I gave a small tip to the waiter because he was very kind to us, even though I was disappointed with the menu.
Terrible experience. Had a reservation for New Year's Eve and waiting half an hour and still no seating so we left. Hostess was missing the entire time. She was busing tables and people were walking out saying how bad it was. Never again.
For one, they are not open for brunch but Open table let us book a table when they were effectively closed. That's on Open Table. They didn't have a brunch menu and lunch is limited to 5 items. Basically this is a poolside bar.
I was thrilled to see the iconic Riviera make its return after its stint as Margaritaville—it felt like a piece of old charm had been restored. However, my recent visit left me disappointed, particularly with the service. From the lobby bar to the restaurant, the experience felt disjointed and underwhelming. It seemed as though every staff member we encountered was brand new and had not yet received proper training. While I understand that every team has growing pains, hospitality is the cornerstone of any successful establishment—especially one trying to live up to a storied legacy like the Riviera's. I truly hope they invest in consistent and comprehensive service training soon. The ambiance and history deserve so much better.
It was very quiet at 5:30 on a Friday in April. The wine list was surprisingly small, 8 selections. I had a chopped salad and it was such a good size with blue cheese bacon and egg. I decided not to get a main course and hot lava cake desert. It was nice what you sound expect for lava cake.
we have lived in Palm Springs for two years and never heard of circa 59. Just searching OpenTable it popped up and we realize it was very close to where we lived and thought it looked cute and we'd try it. we went on a weeknight. It's part of the Riviera Hotel. It's an outdoor area with large trees that sits by the pool, making for a very nice Palm Springs ambience. Our waiter Selena was so sweet and really fantastic! The food was really good. We were expecting average hotel food and we were very surprised at how good it was. We will definitely return. They also have lunch, which could be fun on weekend during season
Excellent Valentine's Day meal at this hotel restaurant! Filet mignon and the beet salad were fantastic. Thanks for a memorable time!
Food and service were excellent however, reception personnel seemed completely oblivious of how to check in an Open Table reservation
Shane provided a wonderful experience. Great service and very attentive. Restaurant is changing over from JWB to Circa 59, so there are some beach themed items still present. Looking forward to seeing the restaurant and hotel once the decor is complete.
Great food, loved the shrimp app.

Restaurantji Recommends
We ordered calamari, garlic Parmesan fries, and the steak sandwich $68. The calamari was very chewy with the consistency of rubber bands. The fries were pretty good. The sandwich was OK. The service was mediocre. we asked for salt and pepper. It took several minutes, even after asking another waitress. They were out of iced tea and sprite I asked for pineapple juice and they gave me grapefruit juice I would not recommend this restaurant, I give it one star. My daughter is having stomach problems about two hours after eating there.

They brought my dinner when they brought my husband‘s salad so I asked them to keep it warm by the time I got it back It was all dried out skirt steak. They asked if we were celebrating anything special and we told him it was our anniversary but they didn't do anything about it. Why ask? This was the third year we were celebrating our anniversary there, but we will not go there again.
The food was pretty solid and the staff was friendly
Run don't walk away from this place! Horrible service & food. Waited 50 minutes for burgers to be cooked wrong. Not 1 dish was good, not even my friends salad.
Very nice restaurant. Great food and great service. Veggie (Farm) burger and Club sandwich were really delicious.
