Nice little diner at the Ace Hotel. Super friendly servers.

Kids chocolate chip pancake was the highlight for me. The breakfast wrap was ok but the eggs were well done, bacon was a bit too hard on the teeth. The leafy green side salad was meh.

Wife got the spicy nacho breakfast. Forgot the name of it but it was mostly one dimensional.

Overall it was nice to try.

We arrived at the restaurant at our reservation time for the special Fried Chicken Night. We were seated and then told they had run out of fried chicken, so we left. (We were there for the chicken!) I sent an email to the restaurant asking what happened. Hoping for a response.

Friend and I went for the Fried Chicken Sunday evening special. Great service and very generous table family style servings. Excellent fried chicken and corn bread. Well worth the price! Will be back! Only nit is that King's Highway could use a little freshening, specially the flooring which is a mess.

The food was flavorful. But portions were incredibly small for the high prices.

If you are visiting, this is a beautiful classic road side diner, where you can come and beta test your desert hipster outfit, adjust your tattoo to plaid to work wear ratio and enjoy a hearty meal. If you are a local, you will find a nice alternative to the same cookie cutter fine dining experience. We visited in the dead of summer and enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich, Caesar salad and roasted chicken, all of which were delicious. Only critique would be to adjust the menu to a more seasonal fare.
