This is one of the best Mexican restaurants that we tried around this area. The service is very friendly. We chose Perlita andLengua En Salsa Verde. Both were delicious. The shrimps were cooked perfectly, tender and tasty. The "beef tongue with the green sauce" is an interesting dish to experience. We were not disappointed at all.

There were three of us staying in Cathedral City and found this place in neighboring Palm Springs and were well pleased. Delicious food and excellent service! DEFINITELY a must see the next time I visit the Coachella Valley.

La Perlita always delivers an enjoyable dining experience! Service is wonderful, and the staff always recognizes regulars. Steak Fajitas are beautifully presented with yummy peppers and onions. Chicken Enchiladas delicious. While I make an effort to try different dishes, it seems like the favorite standbys never fail. Great Mexican beers on draft! Negro Modelo is back after a hiatus. First visit to La Perlita, the atmosphere was vibrant. They were pretty busy, but the service was prompt and friendly. The food was tasty and hot. I forgot to get photos, but I'll try to get them next time.

We had our first visit there tonight. My friend enjoyed the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer. The shrimp ceviche was marginal, at best. Dry and does not much flavor. Not recommended. My Beef Enchilada in red sauce and Chili Relleno combination dinner was Excellent!!!. My friend had 2 Beef Enchiladas (Ala-Cart). The dinners were exceptional. Definitely worth a return visit.
I reviewed this restaurant ten years ago and went back to try it recently. They have expanded their space and the ambience is very comfortable. The service is outstanding and all staff are super friendly (I believe it's still family owned). Portions very generous. We had the chilled soup with octopus and shrimp - it's tomato based like a gazpacho and it was fantastic. My enchilada and taco were very good - the chicken was very high quality and tender (It could use a little more seasoning). My partner said same with carnitas. But overall, I recommend this restaurant!
