Although the water came immediately and the runner said our server would be "right with us," it took over 20 minutes for our drink order to even be taken. This was on a Tuesday night, so perhaps their best staff were not available, but since it also wasn't crowded, this was quite off-putting. Fortunately, most of the rest of the meal was pretty good, although my companion wanted his steak more on the medium side, but it came much more on the rare side, so he couldn't eat a lot of it. The frites, however, were excellent, as were the beignets (dessert) which had a delightful, homemade quality to them. The wedge salad, shrimp cocktail and veggie wellington were also quite good. I'd be willing to go back--but wouldn't rush to do so.
From the moment we walked into Mr, Lyons, we were greeted with warm smiles and a level of hospitality that instantly made us feel welcome. The ambiance was both elegant and comfortable, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The service was exceptional throughout the evening Mo was attentive without being intrusive. Our server Mo was knowledgeable, offered great recommendations, and ensured every detail was taken care of with genuine care. 10 out of 10.
Excellent service, delicious food, and great ambiance. We ordered the Beef Wellington and Prime Rib and they were both perfect. Cocktails were great and we visited the speakeasy, Seymour's, after dinner and had a great experience. It was our first time here and we will be back!
A great experience. Very personal service with excellent timing. We will go again next time we are in Palm Springs.
Outstanding meal and atmosphere! Service was excellent too! Went to the speakeasy after which was also a very cool space, only complaint with the speakeasy was the cocktails were weak & watered-down. Overall great experience and definitely recommend :)
Since last time we dined here it felt that the place has become a bit average, with the kitchen just executing the same staples without much gusto. Atmosphere still very nice.
We love Mr. Lyons. The prime rib is fantastic and so is the ambiance. Great place for special occasions or romantic night out.
We were seated in a very nicely decorated dining room and in a corner booth. I asked the waiter about champagne by the glass but he told me he didn't know much about them and couldn't pronounce them (me either). We ordered the ribeye steak which we were told is recommended medium rare. All food is ala carte. The waiter suggested they slice our steak to share. We also ordered Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes too (they are called something else on the menu). The food was good but I would definitely order the steak medium because it was too rare for me. It was my birthday and they brought me ice cream with a candle for that. Overall an ok dining experience but nothing fantastic.
Very good food in a very dark environment. Delicious steak and prime rib but it's nice to be able to see my food when when eating. Waitress would disappear extended periods but support was terrific on delivering food, keeping water glasses and clearing plates. Cocktail menu is fantastic and I'd like to return for happy hour
Filets were cooked perfectly. The shrimp cocktail was delicious with several huge shrimp. Elegant dining experience!

I feel bad writing this as I appreciate any entrepreneur willing to take the risk on a restaurant. However, there needs to be a better steakhouse in Palm Springs so this is coming from a good place to improve.
With all respect to Mr. Lyons, the food scene in Palm Springs is lackluster at best. But this is a most average steakhouse, probably below average.
It’s overpriced for a steakhouse and without the quality. The wedge is a joke. The steak is fine. The appetizers, generally, are fine.
I’m surprised there aren’t more quality steakhouses for the money in Palm Springs. Set proper expectations for yourself. Average.

Coming from NYC, the steak houses here are hard to top. Had high hopes but the food was not as good as the price tag. I think if you do not eat steak often/go to steak houses you will be impressed. The beef Wellington was pretty good but the prime rib was meh.

Never a dull moment at Mr Lyons. With great energy food and service the F10 group knocks it out of the park at all of their eateries.
