There is no sushi here, only Thai food. The sushi chefs both retired.

Ordered the shrimp tempura, baked mussels, tuna nigiri, eel nigiri, spicy tuna roll and a fried roll. Everything tasted great. My complaint is that the food sat too long and was cold. This was a To Go order and the website has a feature to monitor the status of your order. The stages are order confirmed, work in progress and completed. I ordered roughly at 7:40 and the estimated time of completion was 8:22. I watched the status like a hawk, but the status went straight from confirmed to completed at around 8:05. My plan was to drive over to pick up the order when the status changed to WIP. Well that never happened and our food was really cold; cold tempura and baked mussels are no bueno. My suggestion for the business is to have your people follow the processes in place to ensure timely service. Patrons, don't trust their status monitoring system.

One of the best Thai and sushi place in Palm Spring, you should give them a try when you're there, the food and the prices are good.

Not the worst sushi in the valley but far from the best. We did a day of trying 6 different sushi restaurants and this was our 2nd to least favorite… Cathedral City actually has two of the best, then if your set on downtown Palm Springs do Sandfish. We will try Taka Shin next week and leave a review. We order actually raw fish and always the same cuts to compare, Oishi has decent cuts and portions of cuts… but all are just a tiny bit fishy tasting.Their wasabi and ginger are dreadful!Staff is decently friendly, again not the best nor the worst. But we won’t we back. For a decent price Otori in Cathedral City will be our go to, if you want to spend more and have a very nice environment do Sandfish. Stay tuned for Taka Shin and we will let you know.

C+ effort. I feel like anyone that has left this place a glowing review has never had actual good sushi. Super expensive and disappointing.

Food has been delicious. Staff has always been pleasant and attentive. Clean and well maintained site.

Pretty good sushi, but not a lot of atmosphere. It shares a space with a Thai restaurant, so if you were hoping for Japanese fare along with your sushi, you'll be disappointed.

So good!! Ginger and wasabi was fresh, the sushi was great and the orange sauce was so tasty. Oh and the edamame was hot and good. The guy who delivered it to me had the biggest smile on his face and was so friendly

Fukkin place has a ridiculous wait time it said 45 mins online when I ordered, I get there 2 mins after the ready time and they tell me 20 mins more. Then I asked if my order has even been started the gentleman admitted it was not started yet he said that when I placed my order they got busy. I get it they have 1 chef, but shouldn't orders be made in order? There is no indoor dinning at the time so who's ordered came in before mine? No apology, no I'm sorry. Over an hour wait for sushi! Never will I come back!

Got crazy bad food poisoning here. Very nasty 24 hour bug from the sushi. It's all is eaten the day before I got sick and I usually have a very strong Stomach. The next day let's just say I couldn't work and was throwing up literally all day. Im guessing maybe I got the takeout on a bad night considering the good reviews...Just hope they use better cleanliness and food safety precautions in the future so no one else has to experience what I did.
