My wife and I hired Roman and his staff at this quaint little bakery to make our wedding cake. We could not have been more impressed! They were the only bakery in town that actually made us the actual cake we were wanting as a taster before committing, and they nailed it! (Lemon and Rosemary, with a buttercream frosting.) We even sent them pictures of how we wanted our cake to look like, and it could not have been better! Everyone of our guests claimed that it was the best wedding cake they have ever tasted! The shop is very small, and tight to fit in when they have a lot of people. However their baked goods are I love them! So moist, so much flavor! And the service was loved them and they were a lot of different selection. Wish I would have grabbed a picture of them!

Their desserts are no doubt fantastic. Problem is sometimes trying to get one which speaks to the quality of their product. Unfortunately I have tried several times now to order a basic cake a week plus in advance and either get no response or the response I get is that they are too busy to complete the order. I understand not wanting to hire additional staff or expand your services. But then this also leads people not wanting to come back.

How do you stay in business only open four days a week from 11 AM to 4 PM. Good for you I guess, really crappy for your customers! Update: Roman- It's not a case of me not being happy, the fact is, most YELP reviewers have long ago forgot what good service or good food really is. My reviews reflect the fact that I am a pretty good cook and if I'm going to go out of my way to go out to an establishment, where they charge us, the public, a ridiculous amount of money, you better be able to make it as least as good as I can, or BETTER!! The fact is, your product is pretty good, I've been there several times over the years. But there is a big difference between being a caterer and being open to the public for retail sales. If someone makes a comment about not being open much, take it on the chin and move on, don't whine about a reviewer.

Blown away by this bakery! I ordered a special cake for my friends bachelorette party. What they made was a piece of art and a huge hit! Everyone thought it was absolutely delicious too. Highly recommend! They were also very responsive with any questions and requests!

Over the Rainbow did a perfect job for this 30th birthday pickleball cake. It was absolutely delicious and we felt terrible cutting into it because it was so beautiful! They delivered directly to our Airbnb in Palm Springs. Would highly recommend!

I called Over the Rainbow back at the end of September to see if they could make me a birthday cake with less than a weeks notice. We were coming in town and it had totally slipped my mind to arrange the cake further in advance. They very generously offered to make me a simpler version of the custom cake that I requested and had it available for pick up in time for our friend's birthday. The cake turned out better than I could have imagined. Truly so so cute and it tasted as good as it looked. Moist and light, really delicious. Highly recommend this bakery if you are in Palm Springs.

Over the Rainbow Desserts came highly recommended by our wedding planner, Courtney of After the Engagement. My fiance, now husband, and I knew we did not want a big cake, but we did want small cakes for some of our guests. Our planner gave Roman our style board and colors and he knew exactly what we were going for. We had five small adorable, Mid-Century styled cakes personalized for each guest. They looked absolutely stunning at our venue, Frank Sinatra's Twin Palms Estate.We will be ordering for our anniversary and any parties we have in Palm Springs again!
