This place was a kick. We were barhopping from place to place in Palm Springs, with a quick trip to the retro bar. Great location easy to walk to from Barry's locations. That evening, there was a bachelorette party, with karaoke being involved. Not your best karaoke, singers, but definitely fun and there was definitely a good vibe in this bar. Super enjoyable. Beers were good cold. Service was good quick surprisingly, because of how busy they were. Not a huge establishment, but overall pleasant. Definitely be going back to this place, especially if you're looking for a good time to sing and watch bet singers. Nothing wrong with singers, just walk in and have fun.

I had a great time at Retro Room! Nice ambiance but the highlight is how friendly and helpful the staff were!! Thank you Retro Room!!!

Super fun karaoke spot. We were there on a sat night and it was packed, standing room only, crowd was super into it. Downside with huge crowd is getting on the playlist but KJ did a great job of keeping it going smoothly. Will be back!

Great spot, staff was very friendly. The only thing that I didn't love was the bathroom, it's a little creepy because you have to go down a dark open hallway. Crowd was good and drinks were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Got here at 7. Signed up for a song via digital karaoke sign up. They switched to paper around 8. Let the KJ know we'd been waiting and left a decent tip. We left at 10:30 without ever singing a song and watching our name be skipped on the list for 2 hours. 0/10 do not recommend.

This was my first time at a karaoke bar and it was a super let down. The host was super rude. I had no idea I wasn’t supposed to tap my palm against the mic, I was doing so to hype the next singer up, and he said “never do that ever again” and I apologized and he was very unprofessional about handling that situation. It was very upsetting. I’m from out of town and won’t be coming back and won’t recommend this to anyone else.

Cool little spot with friendly patrons and a great kj. We stopped in during the dog days of summer when it was still in the high 90's after 10 pm, and my husband and I enjoyed some drinks and had a great time. Karaoke catalog is HUGE, by the way. They have almost any song you can think of.

Heard of 'BYOB?' RetroRoom is 'BYOF?' Bring your own food. This is a fun place, without a doubt. And it has some of the aspects of what I consider great karaoke bars. It is small and 'intimate' space and physically conducive to singing ... no loud chatter interfering with singing or listening to the singer. They have a top collection of music with the Karafun streaming service and its 67,000 songs. (You can get the Karafun app for your phone and browse the collection ... but it is comprehensive and current.) Finally the crowd is there to either sing or listen. What kept me from 5 stars? The KJ of the night was perfunctory and barely interacted with the albeit small crowd. A big 'no, no' for me was that there was no screen for the singer setup so that he or she could face the crowd. The screens were either behind and diagonal to the room or on a side wall. And finally, the restroom facilities were out a back door and though a long and creepy corridor. As in, you don't want to go it alone. I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back, but if I happened to be near by for some other occasion I wouldn't mind dropping in.

Best karaoke in town! There's a DJ. They have all the songs. Great service and drinks. We met great people - locals and tourists. Would come back here again.

The service is terrible. The drinks are bad. The only thing it has going for it is that it has karaoke. They served us a drink and then immediately closed early before letting us finish the drinks. Super rude.

Staff is irate, unreasonable, and downright mean. Had the most insane incident last night during karaoke. I had waited over an hour to sing the song I had requested and when my name came up on screen I immediately went up to sing and a random man stole the mic and began singing. When I went to tell the person in charge of karaoke he began yelling at me and told the bouncer to kick me out. They didn't even allow me to tell my friends I was leaving and they dragged me outside and were screaming at me and I was not putting up a fuss. I understand needing to keep order but clearly they let some customers do whatever and decide others are unreasonable for asking to be allowed to sing the song they requested. But beyond that the way I was treated was completely unacceptable and disproportionate to the situation. Also most disgusting drinks of my life.

Cool little spot to karaoke and fun crowd, stop by with my daughter after hanging out in the La Quinta at the brewery.
