The evening started off very questionable. I am not sure if our server was " in the weeds" or not but we were waiting about 10 minutes for water once we were seated. Other servers tried helping us out which was appreciated. We ordered an appetizer but it came in the middle of the dinner options we ordered. We were seated outside which was fine. We asked for a heater near us to be turned on as many on the patio were. We were told they couldn't because of the wind which seemed odd since all of the other heater were on. In the end the food was great and will try the restaurant or again on a future visit.

emailed several times with a specific question and got zero response. Was really looking forward to visiting with our company retreat. Lack of response to my emails makes me question their customer service in house. Too bad, I was looking forward to rewarding our high performing staff with a company paid night out. Will look elsewhere for a company that responds to emails

Where should I start? Maybe with the confusion in finding our reservation upon arrival. OK. Finally found by second person. Seated in outdoor patio next to DJ playing weird instrumental music which was too loud for 6:30pm, and not appropriate for a high-end restaurant. Even two of our Apple Watches alerted us to "noise level too loud--unsafe". Cocktail was the smallest I've seen in ages for $19. If you took out the 1.5"x1.5"x1.5" ice cube (which I normally love) from my 2" tall serving cup, it probably left 1.5 oz of cocktail. Next come our dinner selections (shared by the four of us). The fish was fresh and delicious, but even our foodie niece said the topping on the rolls were "a bit much". The gari was SO pungent that after the first bite my mouth still burned for the next ten minutes. No more gari after that. Next came the bill. What could go wrong? Well, while adding the too-generous tip, the bus-person was in such a hurry to clear the table that he spilled my little bowl of soy sauce onto the table, my left hand, and jeans. Last, but certainly not least, the waitress collected the credit card slip while providing an advertisement spiel! Think annoying credit card offering ad now given by flight attendants on airlines: "We have this Speakeasy down the street. You get a 15% discount if you go there now!! Yay! Go south on this street for three blocks, then turn left, then blah, blah, blah, and remember you get a 15% discount, if you go right now!!! (Oh, I almost forgot: for a 50 table restaurant, there was ONE mixed-gender restroom which developed quite a queue). All in all not at all a pleasant experience.

Definitely on the expensive side of sushi. Wasn't bad, but wasn't exceptional or elevated. A very small sake selection and I don't have a desire to go again. I'm going to give it a solid four stars, the fifth star I can't select because of the elevated price points and lackluster everything.

The place smelt of fish – which I'm not sure somewhere that prides itself on sushi should.

Also, the white wine was served at room temperature – when this was questioned, we were told that this was because the fridges didn't work properly, and that we should have had whiskey instead.

Apparently, this is the best sushi restaurant here (and the tuna selection was v good - 3x nigiri for $32).

But I'd suggest that it has a deep clean, improve the service, get fridges that work, and have a look at their extortionate prices for a sushi bar that smells of fish.

Love Sandfish, but costs keep going up and portions get smaller which is a shame. Food is great but a little pricey

Delicious & innovative cuisine, a mix of flavors that work. Cozy, comfy, & minimalist vibe with tables along the window, bar seating, and a huge outdoor area. Our waiter was good and personable. We were disappointed when we were told that a main dish we ordered was 86'd well after we had ordered it, but he was kind enough to give us a sample of a small amount he had left. If I lived in PS, I'd definitely go back for more!

Great sushi. Miso soup was good. Roll was tasty and service was awesome. Great little spot to try.

Overcomplicated. Can only get a fancy roll for min $27. They took off all their best more simple rolls. $9 for a miso soup……

We have been to Sandfish many times over the years and always found it excellent but it has gone downhill markedly. They have removed the langostino and wagu rolls from the menu. One of the rolls we ordered we were told they 'ran out of' two days earlier. Edamame beans were soggy near the bottom. Service was lacklustre and certainly inattentive. We sat out on the side patio, where we have sat before, but they have let it run down . . probably 10% of the lightbulbs in string lights were burned out or missing . . . it all looked very tired .. .like they had given up. The whole experience was disappointing and we will not be back again.

We really wanted to like this place. Came for a friend’s birthday BUT the birthday girl and I experienced gastro issues after eating the fried oysters. There were 4 of us but only 2 of us ate the friend oysters. Called to let them know and never received a return phone call. So eaters BEWARE of the fried oysters! With a $350 bill one would expect at least an apology from the manager 🤷🏻‍♀️

I wanted to like it! It's in a great location and always on a list but we were ignored for most of the night - having to beg for food and drinks and spent a fortune.

Bad buns were terrible. We were seated in the dark with mediocre service. While some of the rolls were phenomenal and the miso was great this place is definitely not worth it for the price. I get sushi in the desert should come at a premium but not this much of a premium. It wasn’t like we were in Arizona.

Parking: Had to park in a liquor lot across the street. My wife in another car parked in a lot that was assigned and was blocked in by teenagers who double parked. When she approached the staff to help address the issue on their property they threw up their hands as if helpless. You own the lot you can call a tow truck as your threatening signs as warn.

Food is good and cute atmosphere. Was a little weird they started cleaning our table before we left but otherwise it was a good experience. Cute sorbet sparkler for birthday celebration
