Stopped in here with a small group on a Friday night, so I expected it to be busy. It was. However! The server, bartender and other staff were all incredibly friendly and nice, helpful, etc. We essentially came here to try the World Famous Fish Tacos and man o man, they did NOT disappoint. I had the cod, my fiancee had the shrimp and her brother had the Ahi. Everyone enjoyed each of the tacos. We live in Seattle, so authentic Mexican food that is actually good, is pretty rare. Especially fish tacos. These were off the charts. Seriously, we heard about this place on one of the food network shows, not sure which. Either way, it was a great suggestion. If I lived in PS, I'd be there every week.Only one less point because we were unsure where to go or sit when we arrived and it was loud/confusing due to live music. Not at all complaining about that, just was confusing and took a few moments to figure everything out. After that, everything was amazing. Would definitely return if/when I go back to PS.

Shanghai Red's is a solid venue in Palm Springs for food, drink & entertainment. We were in town for 12 nights & visited twice.* A varied selection of craft beer, cocktails & wine* Live music on the patio* Quite a huge menu. We sampled cheese bread, Ray Ray shrimp, lobster bisque, seafood linguine & baja cod tacos (their signature dish). All were extremely satisfying.* You can sit inside at the bar, on high tops or on the patio* Seriously nice stemware is used for the wine* A very convivial feel to the place. All the customers seem to chat with one another.* If you're so inclined TV's show sports* First rate service from the manager, Stefano. He's the best !If you're looking for a casual night out in Palm Springs for a place that won't break the bank & you want some delicious food, a couple drinks & listen to some music, you won't go wrong with Shanghai Red's !

I normally like their food a lot and the entertainment on Sunday night is always awesome. This past Sunday night I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos but the shrimp was boiled and not grilled. Other than that it's a wonderful place to go if you want to hear love music and dance & have a great time.
