Gabe and Dessie were phenomenal! From the greeting by Gabe upon entering the inviting bar area, to the blankets offered to us on a chilly evening, the food and service was top notch all around! The combination of heaters and personal blankets cut the chill for a perfect evening ambiance. The freshly baked cookies were second to none! Our salads - I mean divine! The drinks tasted as good as the aesthetics. All around we were very impressed and loved this welcoming restaurant - would recommend to everyone!

15th anniversary dinner at the Barn. We stayed at the hotel (super cool) and had a 6pm res. Sat outside in the beautiful courtyard. Our server Desi was fantastic. We ordered two baby lettuce salads, the new creamy cauliflower dish and the chicken mole for two. One of our best dining experiences of the year. Also, the music...5 stars

This was my third dining experience here in a month. I had an amazing dinner with an out of town guest so I took a neighbor for lunch. Then my kids came to town and I raved about the place so we waited for a late reservation because we couldn't get an ealier one only to show up and find the place half empty. We assumed reservations had been restricted because of lack of staff which proved correct as the evening war on. We waited a long time for our entree to come, and then we're all very disappointed by it. My son commented the pasta was so sweet. It should be dessert. Very expensive dinner. Very disappointing. Won't be back. The waitress was sweet and tried her best, but our water carafe sat empty much of the evening and we got cold and wanted the heat turned on, but there was no one in sight to ask.

A very good, relaxing restaurant away from the crowds. Informative and friendly waitstaff, well made cocktails and decent wine pours. Young lettuce salad was a delicious, mellower take on a Caesar salad. Butterhead squash agnolotti with brown butter sage sauce was balanced and surprisingly (but enjoyably) light tasting. Grilled pork chop was good sized and well prepared and the shrimp ceviche was fresh with a delicious corn based cream sauce. We skipped deserts.

Gorgeous little restaurant in the garden, in the shade underneath citrus trees. Wonderful quiet ambiance. Service was excellent. Food was good, not great. Burger excellent, pork carnitas good, but tortilla chips on the side were so salty they were nearly inedible. Salsa was hot, tiny portion and just okay. Drinks were good, but it was a fairly limited selection and mostly high prices (such as $25 glasses of wine). Weather was perfect. Not sure how this place would be in the summer heat or cold of winter. We'll come back again someday, weather permitting, and order different items. We got the last parking place in front, on a weekday. Not sure where parking is on busier days. No one greeted us until we reached the restaurant in the far back.

We had lunch there on Saturday and it was quite good. Try the shrimp ceviche - it's outstanding! The barn burger was also excellent.

We had a lovely service experience with our server offering suggestions. Great lodge decor. Indoor seating is limited. If it is a cool night, bring a jacket. On food, menu is limited but enough variety. Unfortunately my pork chop was served dry, and the texture of the grain was chewy. The half chicken mole dish was promising but portions of the dark meat were undercooked; mole sauce was used sparingly. The stars of the evening hands down were the squash salad with mint pesto and chocolate chip cookies. Parking is limited at the Sparrow Lodge, but there is neighborhood parking off Sagebrush. Restaurant and lodge guests share a limited capacity parking lot.

The menu and wine list are incredible. The chicken molé is to die for. But I think we were there on an off night. We sat at the bar in an empty dining room (everyone seemed to be sitting outside) and there was no bartender working. I’m guessing they may have been short staffed, and they were also out of several items we wanted to try. The service was friendly they just seemed to be a bit backed up. Will be back again and will likely grab a table outside.

Ambiance was outstanding, as was the food and the service. A must experience when in Palm Springs

Excellent garden and vibes! The chicken salad was a little too much mayo for my liking but enjoyed the salad and lunch overall

The craft cocktails were delicious, the food was extraordinary and the service warm, friendly, and quick. Diego made me a delicious paper plane. The hamacho crudo was unique and tasty. I really enjoyed my meal there. The hotel is wonderful. I hope to return and stay.

Beautiful outdoor pergola set amongst citrus trees provides a canopy for conversation. String lights add to the mood. Heaters kept us warm, even though it was in the low 60's while we ate. I enjoyed one of the best fish dishes ever: Covina in a flavorful sauce that wasn't overly salty (my pet peeve). My husband enjoyed the pork chop. We each ordered different and delicious salads. Will absolutely return.

Highly recommend. Something to satisfy every gustatory whim. Very helpful with a Gluten Free diner. My new favorite place.
