A wonderful experience the drinks were expertly made by knowledgeable and personable bartenders. The menu is a little smaller, but it’s very good and is filled with food that anyone would love the kitchen did a great job. The pool has been five and he’s very inviting. I had a wonderful time.

They charged me $15 for a cup of tap water with ice.
I ordered a pina colada and I asked for a glass of water. When I got the receipt, they rang me up for a pina colada and a painkiller. The total was over $30. I told the bartender that there was a mistake, I didn't order I painkiller, I just wanted a water. He told me that's what they call waters and they're $15. They charged me the same amount for a glass of water as he did for a cocktail. It wasn't even bottled water, it was tap water with ice in it.
I don't know if they are intentionally scamming people, but I will be fiiling a complaint with the city about this.
Fun little tiki bar located just adjacent to the tiki style motel. Good tiki drinks, slider and fries was pretty good too.

almost don’t want to write a glowing review because i don’t want too many people to know about this place but i also want them to thrive because they’re one of the best tiki bars i’ve ever experienced. sigh.
Parking: easy but take an uber anyway because you will be getting wasted let’s be honest

Stayed at caliente tropics about a dozen times, service here is consistently poor. Always seems understaffed, business structure doesn't make any sense (don't allow people to walk in wet, but there are no towels at the pool and no poolside service...). You can expect no greeting for at least 10 minutes at the bar, having to demand service (which is awkward), and the vibe is off because of all of it. Weird energy for what should a friendly, fun tiki bar. I'm giving up on this place.

A little pricey, but worth it. The food selection is a bit small, and some items I thought they might have, they didn't. Nothing in the way of snacks, bites, or appetizers, mostly burgers and salads, and very limited menu celiacs. The drinks was superb and the service was great. Given this was connected to our hotel and pool was amazing, it's a vibe ✨I highly recommend this tiki bar.
Wonderful happy hour!

The Reef is a excellent locals reference! Great Food, Service and Tropical Atmosphere! Richie, who's awesome, recommended a wonderful "Richie" cocktail" 🍸
. That I thoroughly enjoyed at lunch with my Hawaiian Cowboy Burger. So I came back again a week later for a 2nd time, and Alex made me another exotic drink. This is a great and refined Pirates Cove in the vast desert of Palm Springs, California! 🌴

My husband and I needed a place to cool off after visiting the Indian Canyons. Found the Reef via Google and what a pleasant surprise. Lily and AJ behind the bar were very nice, courteous and attentive. Drinks were great, beer cold, try the the Lucky Bhudda my husband says. The coconut shrimp did not disappoint and the ukulele instrumental music by AJ was awesome ! It fit the Hawaiian theme of the bar/grill and on point !! Thank you the Reef for closing out our week of vacation in Palm Springs unexpectedly so right. Super cute place with wonderful staff and a chill vibe.
Our bartender was horrible and made the worst margaritas any of us ever tasted and we have had a lot of margaritas in our lives

First time visiting Palm Springs with my wife and our first stop was the Caliente Tropics and the Reef. We arrived pretty late so we were the only ones there, but made it in time for a quick bite. I order a pineapple BBQ burger and it wasn't anything special. It hit the spot because I was hungry but eh. The cocktails however were delicious. I ordered the Ambrosia and it was super delicious. Had a few more drinks at the bar and our bartender John was great. His drinks were great and he recommended places to visit. I did like the decor despite it feeling more like a dive bar. I do recommended visiting the Reef. We had fun and the cocktails were delicious.
