Best Leather Gay Bar OMG, it's fun

Do something about the cigar smokers who have completely taken over the patio on Sundays and to some extent Thursday and other nights. It’s a common complaint about the Sunday beer bust. I was just there with four out of town friends. Had one drink then took our business to Dick’s — literally because how nasty the cigar smoke is at Toolshed. Make a smoking section where it’s kept in one area. Not the whole patio.
Good terrace for drinks
So I been there many times and I love the staff and owners but the new person at the door is rude to mexican people and kicks them out and try to find something wrong with them. Why the hate on race in a gay bar. If you are mexican beware of this place. It happened to me and friends more than 3 times. If you are not white you are not welcome here!!!!

Not the place if you have smoke allergies are just a non smoker. Cigar and cigerrete smokers have hi-jacked the back patio by sitting at the entrances and exits from the bar.
Otherwise, the service is friendly and generally a fun place to spend money.

Great bar just outside of downtown, drinks affordable and staff are very nice. Only issue is the long lines for the bars and the many customers that cut in.

Bartender all but refused to serve me. I have no i dea why. Other than he wanted to make me feel uncomfortable because I'm the only black customer. He was extremely rude for no reason. I wish gay spaces were comfortable for all gay people. This one didn't even feel safe. Just a heads up if you a vacationing person like me.

The bartender Dustin made my pass thru comfortable and fun. First timer ally,… if you're in Palm Springs, this seems like the place you need to go to. Beautiful folks and fun times as far as the eye can see. ?? I’ll be back!

A local neighborhood gay bar has excellent shows Including drag, sister's bingo in the evening. Lots of fun. Daily happy hour from 2pm -7pm. Located next to an excellent mexican restaurant.
Parking: There's everything there's Trader Joe's across the street. There's a gym there. There's consignment stores. There's thrift stores a lot of good shopping.

I have enjoyed many an evening at the Toolshed, especially on Thursday nights. The patio remodel has been a great addition, but, as others mention, the bar seems to be missing a lot of potential and, in some cases, driving customers away. First, if they aren't already, they should pursue whatever license they need to have an outside bar. It's ridiculous to have 3 bartenders (all inside) on such busy nights. I've been on off nights when it's dead and it's the same number of bartenders. Doesn't make sense and people don't want to wait 20 min for a drink.
The new misting system on the patio is a disaster -- well I guess depending on who is operating it. On the busy nights I've been there, it's like a rainforest for a few minutes then it's turned completely off. People get hot and cranky and overheat and go inside or leave. I've been on a Sunday afternoon recently where it was putting off a constant, even flow like most misting systems do in PS, so I don't really get why it can't be the same on the busy nights. Seems like a staff training issue.
A few tweaks would make the bar a lot more comfortable and appealing.
Amazing bar with a great atmosphere. Thank you for always being a welcoming spot.
