This establishment gets a lot of hype due to its Palm Desert location. Well, just as is the case with many restaurants in the highly touristed areas of Palm Springs, this Wilma and Frieda's offshoot leaves much to be desired. After check-in we waited about 20min to get our table (no problem....very normal). Once seated we waited another 20min before anyone acknowledged us. A simple "good day... I'll be right with you" would have been nice. Finally, drinks got ordered and were actually quite good (watermelon Red Bull Margarita). Then came our lunch. I had the Bbq chicken salad ($24). Chicken breast was light eating drywall. Absolutely no flavor and so dry I almost choked trying to get it down. I asked for more dressing just so I could wet the chicken. My partner had a sausage, egg, muffin dish. Eggs were poached rock solid. English muffin was not baked enough and actually still doughy. Wilma & Frieda's Palm Springs?...nope....never again.

Please, please, please get the French toast here! The French toast is some of the best French toast I've ever had. BUT my friend had the Christmas enchiladas and we didn't like it at all. I think that that might just be a palate thing so I don't want to talk too much about that. Excellent service also. The lady at the front desk and the waitresses were so so kind and so patient. Wilma and Frieda's is an excellent choice for brunch at Palm Springs. Also, maybe because I was a tourist, it was a bit tricky for me to locate exactly where it was but overall it was a great experience. I'll give a my visit here a very strong 4.5/5.
Please note that this review is from my visit in late September 2024.

So many things...only got part of food. Had to almost trip a server to chase down our missing food. Had to beg to get more coffee and iced tea. Hardly saw our server until it was time for our check. Food was okay...nothing fantastic. I did like the English muffin and pop tart.

Loved our breakfast. Friendly and attentive service. Good prices and BIG portions. Elevator and stairwell could use a scrub (but that’s not a complaint for the restaurant just be aware).

I don’t understand all those good reviews. This place does not live up to the hype. Food was mediocre and expensive. Service was very nice actually.
And they tell you on the menu that their plant based chorizo dish is just as delicious than the real chorizo but “without the heavy guilt”. What does that even mean? That everything else containing meat is a sin? I go to church if I want to be judged.

We had a very disappointing meal today. Food was served luke warm and the overcooked eggs Benedict was very off-putting. The service and atmosphere is good. They just need to work on the quality of the food

I went there with my husband to have his birthday brunch and I sent my food back because I asked for my house Browns to be well done and they were raw in the middle and it took them 25 minutes to even begin to bring my food back to me and my husband had already finished his so I asked for it to go.
I have never had such poor service in a restaurant in all of my life, and I will certainly never be going back there again.

There are way better options for breakfast or brunch in downtown Palm Springs. We reserved a table for 10 but they put us in a room with a DJ blasting music which destroyed any ability to have a conversation or a chill, relaxing meal. We asked to be moved to a part of the restaurant that was not so loud, but the manager was not accommodating and had a bad attitude towards me and my friends.

Really enjoyed our brunch. Dishes were good and would definitely come back.
The hash browns and potatoes were mediocre. I don't understand why restaurants that serve them with breakfast do not put even a little bit of effort in making it something more than just an afterthought.

The kinda place where everything on the menu is good. Went with biscuits and gravy which did not disappoint. Biscuits are big and soft, gravy had sausage and bacon, sunny side up eggs made the final touch. The coffee was also good. 10/10 would return.

This is the spot for your local Breakfast/Lunch in Palm Springs. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and wonderful service. If you get a chance, ask for Italo or Mauricio. Their service is next to none! Will definitely be coming back soon.
