Terrible food & terrible service! Save yourself a bundle of money and go elsewhere. Management doesn't care if you have a bad experience.
Let’s start with the basics - book a booth to maximize the stunning architecture experience, and if you land Matthew as your server, you’re in luck with a steady hand to guide you on your culinary voyage. Course 1 - Duck salad - 5/5 - perfectly cooked and seasoned duck leg, melding in a wonderful harmony with the bitter greens and the sweetness of the plum vinaigrette. Course 2 - Ricotta gnocchi - 5/5 - Matthew described this a quintessential fall dish, and he wasn’t lying. For a reasonable $20 accompaniment the shaved black truffle add-on didn’t require a hard sell. The pillowy gnocchi found a comfortable home in the tender arms of sage, brown butter, and squash. I want to cuddle with this dish beside a romantic fire, talking about our future together. Course 3 - Iberian pork steak - 5/5 - the wood grill gives this cut a beautiful crust and a perfect pink center. As with the other dishes, each element was thoughtfully constructed to give a bite bursting with balanced flavor. The crunch from the snap peas and the creaminess of the cheddar grits are a sublime complement for the tender, juicy pork. I would also like to be able to buy that fig mostarda at Costco in a 64 oz container. Course 4 - Heirloom carrots - 5/5 - these carrots are insane. Just carrots, right? Wrong. The harissa vinaigrette danced a perfectly choreographed tango with the tzatziki, seductively caressing my taste buds. Halfway through the main course of pork and these carrots, my eyes brimmed with tears. I thought about all of my friends, family, and past ancestors who have never gotten to experience this meal, and considered my own mortality. I shook Matthew’s hand on the way out, acknowledging the role that he and the culinary team played in making my day. The world may have plenty of problems, but for two wonderful hours at least I can have a perfect dinner with my beautiful wife and not worry about any of it. Don’t overthink it - snagging a table here should be the #1 item on the to-do list for your Palm Springs trip.
The food here is always great — that’s never been the issue. Unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience with the event coordinator that’s made me rethink coming back.
I organized a dinner for 12 people and planned to order the $80/person pre-fixe menu. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the charge was $100/person. Apparently, I had selected a dish from another pre-fixe option, and the error wasn’t caught or clarified by the coordinator. It felt like either a convenient omission or just a simple miscommunication — one that I thought could easily be resolved.
I reached out to Rachel Dean, the events coordinator, the next day to explain and requested a quick call. Unfortunately, I got no response. She eventually replied by email just restating what was in writing, but didn’t acknowledge the misunderstanding or offer even a small gesture to make things right.
I’ve spent roughly $3,000 at this restaurant over a few visits, and would have continued coming regularly — probably spending another $500 or more a year — if not for this experience. It’s a shame, because the food and vibe are excellent, but the lack of customer care really soured the experience.
If you’re planning a large group event, I’d recommend taking your business elsewhere. Super bummed out to say that, but this one really missed the mark.

We showed up for our reservation 30 mins late thinking they'd put us at the bar or simply make us wait and instead they seated us and managed to exepite a perfectly coursed meal in under an hour. Amazing recs, great service, food was dumb good.

We had the most wonderful experience here for dinner. The atmosphere is a whole vibe, very hip and California. The waiter was extremely knowledgable on the entire menu, gave great guidance on the meals. The food was spectacular. It was a foodie experience and we loved it. Each dish is so thought out, multiple layers of flavors that build upon each other. Unique ingredients and flavors make this menu outstanding. We got a fresh loaf of sour dough with Myers lemon butter, the straciatella beet salad is honestly one of the best foods I have eaten in a long time. The risotto was rich and incredibly delicious. I could have ordered everything on the menu it was all so appealing. The drinks were fun and tasty. The entrance through the patio threw us off when we first arrived, so yes you need to cut through to get to the front area. All the waitstaff were so nice and kind. It was awesome would highly recommend!!

My girlfriends and I had dinner at Workshop during our annual girls weekend getaway. The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The shareable plates were presented and served in a complementary manner. While every plate was really delicious, the ricotta gnocchi and Iberian pork steak were my absolute favorites. It was an amazing meal at a Michelin rated gem.
The good: The design and ambience were as expected--incredibly cool. Our server, Matthew, was perfection. The bad: The food was not good. No real flavor, yet too many ingredients that don't do a thing for the dish on the plates. Mandarin sections all over the too thickly sliced yellowtail crudo. Undercooked, very fatty pork belly in the underseasoned fried rice. Tough blob of swordfish. No sear whatsoever on the flaccid scallops. I wish that all of the unremarkable restaurants in this area would take a tip from Nobu in Indian Wells--THIS is how you do amazing, fine, delicately flavored food.
My daughters picked this restaurant for their birthday dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, patio ambience, and especially the service. Everything was phenomenal! Thank you for a memorable evening!

I was a bit skeptical given some reviews but it was very good. I can't find a fault other than when I said we wanted to order a couple of things to see how we felt then possibly order more, was told that's not possible, all orders need to be on the same ticket?! But food was exceptional.

So after being 15 minutes late to my reservation at Workshop in Palm Springs, I was told they’d given away my table. Fine, I thought, I’ll talk to the manager. Maybe he’ll fix this. Enter the manager—who, I kid you not, looked like he’d rather be anywhere else, possibly hiding under one of the 75% empty tables in the restaurant.
This guy strolled over with all the enthusiasm of a DMV employee on a Monday morning. No “I’m sorry,” no “Let me see what I can do.” Nope, just a blank stare that screamed, “I hope you disappear.” I half expected him to offer me a seat on the roof next.
He had the leadership skills of a wet sponge and the empathy of a parking meter. The man could’ve at least pretended to care. But nope, I got nothing. By the end, I felt like I should be apologizing to him for showing up. If you’re looking for customer service, you’ll have better luck talking to a brick wall.

Great food and service. Fresh interesting menu and good quality produce. Best meal in PS so far on this trip.
The best meal I've had in Palm Springs so far.... I love the severe brutalist interior and at first I thought it was going to be pretentious, but in fact it was welcoming and friendly and approachable...
Delicious, bold flavors with a definite point of view... The lamb appetizer with the spicy fennel salad was incredible.... And the pork ribs with the succotash side with fresh mint was also outstanding...
Definitely on the pricey side and food portions are pretty small...
The two bartenders were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and I felt comfortable dining at the bar.......
You can tell they take great care every single dish. Definitely going to recommend this place to all of my colleagues

Love the food and service here
Probably the best food we have had in a long time, we do a lot of travelling live in London we have been on a 3 week road trip from Vancouver BC to San Diago we took a detour for some sun as the weather changed in LA. The restaurant will be a good reason to revisit Palm Springs apart from the weather.
We actually went to this restaurant two nights in a row it was so good.
Highly recommend the lamb kafta, steak and cabbage dish super tasty thank you very much!

Food was on point and the service was stellar. The only knock is the night we went the air conditioner was not working and it flew like a sweat box inside.
