Sushi was just ok. They list crab on the menu in the rolls, but don't tell you its imitation crab, gross. Maybe that's why it tasted the way a dirty fish tank smells? Was that gobs of mayo on my rolls? I don't know, but this is a never again sushi joint for me. Nothing was really flavorful. Service was decent. Prices were about what you'd expect for a lower end sushi place.

We ordered the Karachi spicy ramen, hot night and habanero melt rolls. The ramen was very good. And I highly recommend hot night. Habanero not so much, kinda bland. But service was great and didn't wait long for food.

I went with some people from work and had a great time. I got 3 different rolls, some dumplings, and hot sake during their happy hour so the drink was half off. Everything I and the 4 other people had was fantastic, definitely overate because it was so good. 10/10 suggest checking it out if you like sushi!

I had a great first visit and dinner at bluemaki! Came by for the first time for dinner on a Thursday. They weren't too busy and we were sat right away (party of two). The restaurant is on the smaller side so I could predict there being a wait on a busier night. Greeted by a very pleasant and kind server. She brought out menus, advised us of the happy hour deal on beer and sake and took our drink order. She was very attentive throughout the meal and I appreciated her recommendations. We started with the edemame and an order of sushi unagi. The edemame was good - serving was decent and they were cooked well. The unagi was awesome! It came with a really savory sauce and the portion was much bigger than I expected. The unagi was so good and filling we ended up getting a second order.We split two of their specialty rolls: the Sugar Fish and the Tiger. The sugar fish was very fresh and light. It came with a thin soy/sesame sauce that was great! The roll also had a surprising spice kick. It was a great roll if you like the taste of tuna and salmon. The Tiger was even better! We're big fans of shrimp tempura rolls and this was spectacular. It was crispy and creamy on the inside with a nice bite on the shrimp on top. The sauce on this one was topped with serranos so I'd be a little careful if you're not a fan of spice. It was pretty easy to remove the serranos though to adjust the heat. This roll came with a shrimp tempura side as well. Overall I was very impressed with the size of the rolls. They were very generously rolled and called for two bites. The taste and freshness was spot on as well. The Resturant was well kept, clean and the service was great. I'm happy to have found a new sushi spot in the AV.

If you like fresh fish this is the place to go, in my opinion it has the freshest fish in the AV with the largest fish portions. I love their blukase menu! A must try!
