The owner took us in like this was her kitchen. My coworkers and I were treated like family. She must have heard me raving about the food I didn't even have to ask for shatta (hot sauce like Sriracha but better) and pickled turnips. At the end of the meal we received knafeh! Chefs kiss!!! 10/10
Today I was in a hurry to eat and placed an order for a Kabob plate at Cali's Kabob. This was my first time being there. The owner told me that since all kabob plates are cooked fresh to order it would take about 20-mins. to prepare. Although I was in a rush, I was willing to wait. About 5-mins after placing the order the owner handed me a freshly cooked kabob plate that was just prepared for her daughter who was also there. I said no, I would just wait for my order, but...
This place is a hidden gem in the AV the food is so delicious and fresh it is probably one of the best Lula kabob we ever tried it was super juicy and flavorful I truly enjoyed eating it.
The Toum sauce is heavenly.
The rice and hummus were insanely delicious and the deserts were so good the baklava was my favorite I've tried here in the AV it was delicious and not overly sweet to were it makes me sick
