Black Olives Mediterranean Café

Food was very mediocre.....almost tasteless. I got the falafel plate and it was the blandest I've ever had. The falafel was cooked well, great texture but again no flavor. Same with the salad, rice, hummus and tahani....it wasn't nasty but not something I particularly enjoy.

The sides were also....interesting. I definitely would have preferred tabbouleh to the cabbage salad. I also wish they provided toum.

I really wanted to like this place and the food presentation was great.
Food tasted okay but I ended up getting sick after as well as my partner, she had the chicken shawarma and I had the beef shawarma. Service was great and the ambiance was chill.

I really wanted to give it more stars. Overall the food is good, but the chicken is just lacking something in texture and quality, as another review stated. It seems like the chicken could be upgraded to a better quality. It was dry and stringy kind of like, the chicken you find at a Jack-in-the-Box or Carl’s Jr.. I’m very picky with chicken so I know the difference. The rest of the food was fine.

Place smells like a backed up toilet

Nice spot to eat at. I tried the lamb, beef and chicken kabobs. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Got the beef pie for the wife and she was a little disappointed with the amount of meat and seasoning but to be fair my wife is all about the seasoning.

The food was good but my only complaint was our desert. We ordered baclava and it was literally one of the smallest portion we have ever gotten from a restaurant. Other than that, we didn't wait very long. After 5:30, it does get busy so be prepared for that.

Amazing! The hummus was delicious and the white pizza (vegetarian) was immaculate! My compliments to the kitchen and especially Vladimir who was our server. I would recommend to anyone who loves Mediterranean and I am definitely coming back again.

I'm hiking the PCT and am staying over in Palmdale for a few days. On Maps I saw the name of this restaurant, so my daughter and I went.
I can't express how delicious and delightful this place was.
Our wonderful server, Vladimir, was patient while we looked over the menu. He took the time and answered all our questions.
We settled on pizza and kabob plates.
There's no way to describe how delicate and crunchy the crust of the pizza was. It was such a surprise. And the kabob plates had a nice portion of meats. The sides on the kabob plates were amazing - rice, hummus, and cabbage salad. The spinakopita was so light and fluffy, yet crispy.
The place was medium busy, with to-go orders coming in constantly. Vladimir handled the floor alone and was very efficient.
I highly recommend Black Olives. I doubt you'd be disappointed!

My review is based off of our service today when we came in earlier today for lunch, me and a few coworkers came in so we could celebrate our end of the year work. The establishment is well kept and clean. Food is pretty good. But our service was sadly poor. Our serve basically ignored us right after we placed our orders. We had requested some extra Lemon for our waters more than once which she never brought because she never returned to help us instead a different server came. While she stood by the reception counter. The new server was amazing. Wished we would’ve had her from the beginning and I wouldn’t be leaving a review. I would understand if they were busy but they were pretty empty. “They only had two servers/host”

I was there for dinner and had combo plate of shwarma and Lula kabob. The food was good. Lula could have been cooked a bit more, yet that could only be my taste. Better if you like it more cooked just ask them well done.
The place seemed very clean. The dining area, restroom and even the kitchen. You can see the kitchen as you walk towards the restrooms. The staff were very friendly and the price was lower than I expected, yet the amount of food they bring is not more than what you can eat, unlike some other meditrainian restaurants. I was going to give this place a 4.5 stars ?. Thanks everyone working there. The owner is russian Armenian and has done a great job and of course the staff is exceptional ?.
The food was not salty which I liked it very much. I had yogurt drink which was also not salty and I liked it very much.
