The food was very greasy. I ordered tacos de asada combination. They served so little rice that it seemed like a joke. What I liked the least is that their menu does not have the prices and when I asked for my bill, they called me to the cashier and I never saw how much each item cost. order we ask for ?

Although it is a small place and they do close early if you get a chance to stop by do it. Their quesa birria is so nice and crunchy one of the best I've had up here in the AV. And the service too is great the lady there are so attentive.

Let's lead off with this: the food is a cut above here. It's always odd to review a place that is in the middle of nowhere. If it's a good restaurant but not a great one, still, you are super happy it's there. You might not rate it on the same level as, say, really great restaurant in San Diego, but you might give it four or five stars all the same because you're just so happy that it's there. That is not the case with this. If you put this restaurant in the middle of San Diego and definitely for sure in Los Angeles, this would still rank among the best Mexican restaurants. It's really that good. I mention San Diego or Los Angeles because, let's face it, you're just not going to beat Mexican food in Mexico.I ordered Pescado Blanco a la Plancha ("Grilled White Fish"). It was prepared perfectly and came with delicious vegetables that were sauteed to perfection. Everything was excellent, including the handmade tortillas. The people there were super friendly. The chef - and yes, I am going to use the word "chef" and not "cook" - came out to make certain that we liked it. They really make you feel at home. The place is a hole-in-the-wall but is kept very clean and pleasant looking. Now I am going to mention all the things that makes some people squirm. 1.) There are no prices on the menu. If you have an issue with that, ask before you order.2.) The chef and the person serving our order don't have great English skills. I know some of you may feel uncomfortable, but quite frankly, they are so friendly that you needn't worry, and the can take orders without any issue anyway. When you get into deeper conversations such as the chef apologizing to us in Spanish that he didn't learn that much English because everyone around him always spoke Spanish, then it might help to have some Spanish skills. Bottom line: if you want some of the best Mexican food in Southern California, give this a try.

Best menudo in town. Also, this is my favorite place for chiles rellenos. If I a make my wife mad, that's it. It is Chile relleno dinner and win her back. Thank you people.

First off.... No prices on menus or anywhere. I would like to know the prices of food. I had a wet SUPER SPICY red burrito. I DID NOT enjoy it one bit! They do post that it is $1 effen dollar for a togo box but no prices on food, hmmm . First and last time going there. I do not recommend this place at all. There is a better spot that I love in Little Rock called Que Paisa Restaurant. I will never again betray my favorite mom and pop restaurant! Food is expensive and not worth the price.

For the record I'm from the valley & the food up here isn't as good. #SorryNotSorry I was craving menudo & decided to try this place out. No regrets!! Menudo was on point! The broth was so rich & flavorful. With a Coca Cola de vidrio Staff was nice & friendly too! I found my new go to place!

The best birria de chivo I've had in the AV, flavor is great! Only complaint is they served me mostly bones in this visit. Service is great too!

The food was really good, the menudo and birria was very good, my son ate 3 quesa tacos with consomé and he loved it. Good size portions and hand made tortillas for everything on the menu. We loved the customer service.
