They only have drip coffee. It’s not a full coffee shop.

I've had multiple awful experience with this whole Food store. They lack multiple items comparing to their neighborhood stores, such as the Redwood City and San Mateo ones. The store workers aren't friendly nor knowledgeable about their products. They made me feel like I'm bothering them whenever I ask a question about a store item. I'd do my business else where.

Thought it'd be nice to show some homemade recipes instead of the typical "here's what the inside of a grocery store looks like"- just to give you a sense of the breadth a place like this can give you! Made kimchi fried rice and a coconut chiffon cake entirely with ingredients bought at this whole foods! Very easy to find all the ingredients I needed, even though the best option would have honestly been a 99 ranch to get the ingredients for much much cheaper (hence the 4 of 5 stars rating, not for this whole foods in particular but in general for the whole foods chain). In any case, here are the recipes for the pictured items- again, all the ingredients are available at this whole foods- the items that justify the cost are specifically the eggs (for which you really can taste the quality of the egg compared to average eggs you'd buy at costco). If you can, try to get kimchi at a korean supermarket, so it can be the large jar that is the best deal around. The best option for the large jar of kimchi is to (pro-tip alert!) get a bunch of smaller mason jars and split up the kimchi so it doesn't rot. It's also important you never double dip the kimchi jar- ie make sure you take out as much kimchi as you need per sitting into a clean separate bowl, as opposed to sticking chopsticks in your mouth each time you eat a bite, then going back into the jar- gross! You'll only infect the jar with the teeming bacteria in your mouth! Finally, a note on the chiffon cake- make sure you whip the meringue well, preferably with an electronic mixer if you have access to one. That or incredibly strong forearms. Kimchi fried rice (recipe is from NYTimes) INGREDIENTS 3 tablespoons unsalted butter 1/2 small onion, medium dice 1 cup roughly chopped kimchi (6 ounces) 2 tablespoons kimchi juice, or to taste 1/2 cup small-dice Spam, ham or leftover cooked meat 2 cups cooked, cooled rice (preferably short-grain) 2 teaspoons soy sauce, or to taste 1 teaspoon sesame oil, or to taste 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 4 eggs Salt to taste Green onion for garnish PREPARATION In a nonstick sauté pan or well-seasoned cast-iron skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat, and add onions. Cook, stirring, until the onions start to sizzle, about 2 minutes. Add kimchi and kimchi juice, and stir until it comes to a boil, about 3 minutes. Add Spam, and cook until sauce is nearly dried out, about 5 minutes. Break up the rice in the pan with a spatula, and stir it to incorporate. Turn heat to medium. Cook, stirring, until the rice has absorbed the sauce and is very hot, about 5 minutes. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil. Taste, and adjust with more soy sauce, sesame oil or kimchi juice. Turn heat down slightly, but let the rice continue to cook, untouched, to lightly brown while you cook the eggs. Place a small nonstick sauté pan over medium heat, and add the vegetable oil. When it is hot, add eggs, season with salt and fry to your desired doneness. Serve rice topped with fried eggs, nori and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. I'm surprised that during this pandemic, that the sidewalks are not pressure washed of dirt, spit and gum. I personally touched the Permanent plants while standing in line for 25 minutes. They're dry and out of water. business hours are shortened. Paint or sanding picnic tables. Let's care about the outside and give another employee a job. Drab and no excuses for NOT tending to the exterior. WE SEE THIS STANDING 6' apart for 30 minutes... I DID.

Always excellent! Much better than all other markets in town. Helpful staff throughout the store, and I love the size of WFM, Palo Alto. Elsa at quick check is the best!!

I love the store and all its employees! However they lose one star after what I saw today. I saw an employee lift up the lid to the Olive bar and spray cleaner liberally on the plexiglass however he neglected to cover the olives underneath allowing cleanser to fall on them. Though I appreciate the immense efforts in disinfecting the store, this is really disgusting.

I ordered a juice here over the weekend and had a very negative experience at the juice bar. To make matters worse it gave me food poisoning. I attempted to reach management by chat and my complaint was not acknowledged. I do not like to leave bad reviews but this was not a good experience for me as I am still ill. Beware of possible contamination.

Nothing says "I love you" like Purple roses!?! Ordered roses for valentines day to arrive while I was on the road. Came back to see the dozen RED roses delivered to my wife arrived as PURPLE roses. Why would I spend $40 on purple roses? Thanks "Whole Frauds" for a memorable Valentines day.

Only taking off a star because the price is so much more expensive than the Trader Joe's in town and country. The quality is not arguably that much better than Trader Joe's. To be fair, both these stores operate on a whole other level of freshness compared to Safeway. Posting a photo of the beautiful red roses they sell here- yes there is a vivid filter on this photo to make the red really pop, but the quality of the roses is really undeniable! Other than the flowers section, my favorite is the Urban Remedy selection, as well as the dried fruits and nuts section. So delicious!

I like this WF a lot. It's probably my favorite on the peninsula, but they're all good. Here's why I deducted two stars: Yesterday, when I checked out, I got this sullen, young guy. When I got up to him, he did not make eye contact with me once. He looked straight down, or off in the opposite direction... even when he handed me my change. He could barely bring himself to utter the dollar amount in my direction. Look, I get it. I'm a repulsive, old 61 YO woman with bad hair and uncool clothes. I know how hard that must be for him. But we've all had entry-level jobs, dude. When I had mine, many years ago, every customer got a smile and great customer service. Because it was expected. I'll be back, but will avoid his line.

I usually don't have a problem with this store. However on 2/1/2020 the lines were ridiculously long. I went in the express line because I only had 5 items. I'm literally the next in line and they open up a new till and take the person behind me. I had 5 items. I took a minute to check out and I had to wait almost 10 minutes to check out. I just thought that was so rude. And it would of been better if they didn't open that till at all. I'm fuming!

I love Whole Foods. So many options, and fresh organic and conventional produce and products. This particular WF is super convenient, so it's always a go-to for me. Although on the smaller side of some of the other ones, it still has a great deli, hot bar, bakery, sushi bar, and ample cheese and wine section. I will say since the Amazon takeover there have been some changes. Unsure if the moral has gone down a bit, or they are just working out the kinks. Some items don't seem to be restocked as often, and some favorites are no where to be found. As fondly referred to as "Whole Paycheck", that may be true of some items, but there are still plenty of goods/produce that are on par with or less costly than their counterparts.

Very nice and very friendly employees. Food is perfect and affordable, especially fresh organic produce. No long waiting in a line. Great store.

Opened the wrapper on what appeared to be a beautiful piece of Salmon (1.8 lbs.) and it smelled. I bought this piece of fish just an hour earlier. This is not the first time this has happened but this is the first time I'm writing about it. Before Whole Foods was sold to Amazon this never happened. It is very disappointing to see (and smell) their quality control go down hill. I have also bought bad fish at the Whole Foods market in Los Altos. Fortunately their meat and vegetable selection remains high quality. Hopefully, they will get their fish department under control. There should be no need for the customer to smell the fish up close before making a selection. Upon returning it, the "Refund Raason: Changed Mind/Didn't Like'" printed on the receipt is a misnomer and does not take responsibility for food that is not fresh. Of course I "didn't like" it. What customer likes to eat food that smells ?
