Friendly staff🥰, best bagel in the states🥯
In the morning the bagels might be nice and fresh but at 13:40pm we bought 6 multi grain bagels and they were very chewy, hard to eat and had no crunchy crust.
Sorry owner it was not pumpernickel and it was not chewable. Just sell fresh warm bagels! We eat them from other places for the last 40+ years only ;)
Sorry, but to pay that amount for old bagels is a joke.
Suggestion, maybe buy when they are nice and warm or you should toast them ...
They were nice enough to reimburse us. Thanks.

Excellent way to start your day! They have a wide selection of bagels and spreads to choose from. I got a eggything with the horseradish cheddar scallion spread and it was delicious. Chewy, warm and filling.
The spot is more catered towards takeout orders so the seats outside are a bit bare boned. There was a bit of a wait for me since the order before me was super huge. Not sure if this happens often, but might be something to factor in if you're looking for something quick.

I got food poisoning yesterday from the tuna salad. Led to me almost going to the hospital for severe dehydration.

Very good bagels; one of the best in the Peninsula & S. Bay. They don’t come close to Daily Driver or Toscano Bros. in San Francisco and definitely not Laundromat in the Outer Richmond district of SF.
Their bagels have a good chewy texture and mild crunchy exterior; flavor wise they’re in the same tier as the House of Bagels chain. Just FYI, the sesame seed bagels should be cooked longer; seeds should be light brown not white. On balance though, everything here is consistent and freshly made. Service is excellent.

Boyfriend and I are from the east coast (NJ. Better bagels than NY). I went in with very low expectations. These bagels taste like stale bread and the chew is just painful. We specifically requested for our bagels to be toasted and both of them weren't. What maniac doesn't toast their bagels?! Also, there's no veggie cream cheese, and the cream cheese that we did have just sucked. Can't believe this place markets itself as an authentic NY bagel place and even has the arrogance to position themselves as better than. That claim is at best annoying and at worst horribly disrespectful.

The bagel was chewy and dense and was really good and is what I expect from a new york style bagel. Got the daily special with lox cream cheese, capers, onions, and tomato. Everything was very fresh but the capers were extremely salty (way more than i’ve ever experienced for capers) and were quite off putting. Other than that everything was great!

Boichik bagels aren't good bagels, period, even without comparing to the NY bagels I've had before. For some reason they always come cold and tough, to the point where my jaws hurt midway through chewing (you might say they're chewy, but only in the way that stale bread is chewy)--this has been consistent throughout my everything bagel with lox spread, bialy, and daily specials orders. It's just annoying to see them marketing themselves as the only good bagels in the bay when they objectively can't reach the "good" threshold themselves

A truly lousy bagel. Decent texture but way overseasoned for an everything bagel. $3 for a plain bagel is also ridiculous, even in the current financial climate. Don’t waste your time and money on this overpriced mediocrity.

Truly excellent Bagels!
To be honest, don't expect an amazingly superior flavor at first bite, it pretty much tastes like a bagel.
The difference is more subtle and becomes apparent when you consume more of them.
In my opinion, they're easier to digest and you keep coming back for more, in ways that you don't with other brands.
There must be some secret magic in the flour, it is not clear what exactly.
The schmear is also quite good, a nice tangy cultured flavor.
They offer sandwiches, but did not try it.
Sadly tho, customer service could be a bit better.
The staff is borderline rude and I did not encounter anyone that seemed happy that I was there purchasing bagels.
It would be five stars from me if the customer service was a bit more friendly.
