Great food, attentive service, large drinks menu.
Classy place serving good-to-excellent food, and a place buzzing but still able to conduct intimate conversation. Wait staff was helpful in wine selection. Service was very quick.
We had a table of 8 after seeing a musical at Stanford. Service was prompt and very courteous. Great food! 4 of the guests had never been and the restaurant is now on their “A” list.
This is my favorite restaurant in Palo Alto, it never disappoints. I always order the same entree, the horseradish crusted salmon, and it is fantastic! The owner could not be friendlier, and always acknowledges me. I've been here no less than 50 times over the years.
Wonderful Italian restaurant with great food and service. We typically have pasta or one of the daily specials.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the peninsula. I was craving authentic, not gummy or doughy, but fresh gnocchi.
This is the only place I know of that makes it fresh, rather than using prepackaged pasta. The gnocchi was perfect and pillowy and the balance of flavors was so good.
The waiters and front desk that work here deserve all the praise. Super nice and accommodating. Shout out to the wonderful lady I spoke to on the phone.

All four if us experienced great service, excellent cuisine, and a splendid time at Cafe Pro Bono last evening. It is one of favorite restaurants and enjoy taking friends there to dine.

Christmas Eve dinner was the perfect holiday treat! The bread and dipping oil was delicious with our cocktails: vodka gimlet and negroni. We started with carpaccio and caesar salad, then halibut and filet mignon and finished off with tiramisu. We had an exquisite bottle of wine as well. All was perfect, the service was friendly and responsive but not overbearing. The only negative was the noise level was over the top.
Food and service were excellent. We asked for a quiet table, but that was impossible given how popular the restaurant is.
Well, I love that restaurant, but it is noisy. We'd indicated on our reservation that this was a birthday, but nothing special was done for that by the restaurant. Also, the birthday guest had ordered Risotto as an entree, but was served pasta instead.
Spectacular service. Old school and delightful. Sever Akif was excellent sharing various pairing wines for the Halibut lunch special. While some prefer a white with fish, the right red can work well. I choose a 2018 Italian Amorona Classic 2018.

We had a very nice lunch with visitors from France. The customer service was impeccable. The food was delicious -- everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The noise level was between quiet and moderate -- just right for having a conversation. The prices, as with most restaurants in Palo Alto, are a bit high.
