I was looking for some macarons in the area and after having tried a few - with rather disappointing results-, I decided to try this place according to the good reviews and I must admit they were right. For sure the best macarons I’ve tried so far in the area, authentic, fresh, delicious. I couldn’t tell the difference from the most famous French brands. I tried the pistachio, the lavender and the mango, but I’ll surely go for more! They cost 3$ each and they offer very cute gift boxes too. Highly recommended!!

Unfortunately this place just isn't as good as it used to be and it shows. For one, the pricing scheme makes little sense: a box of 6 is actually a worse deal than just buying them separately? $3 for an individual, $19.50 for a box of 6...unless I don't know how to do math, that makes the macarons $3.25 each in the box. Additionally, my favorite Earl Gray macaron is no longer blue with silver on top and is now just a plain gray, in contradiction to what's depicted on their website. I understand this place is struggling but it's just not really worth the cost anymore, especially if it seems like the product itself is dipping in quality.

The staff is really helpful.Just randomly walked by and ask the staff to help me pick a box of beautiful macarons. Each one has just right amount of sweetness. And the display in this place is so beautiful.Love it!

Visited the store to have the little pieces of heaven. The macarons are fresh, and melts in your mouth. There are so many flavors to choose from. Loved the customer service and the vibe of this place. Reminds me of a little place in the French countryside. Love it!!!

The shop is located in downtown Palo Alto. I liked the atmosphere, which is quite modern. There is a large variety of flavors, and one factor that makes it special is that they sell crumbling macaroons at half price. The texture, flavor, presentation and price are good. The flavor I enjoyed most was vanilla, though I tried many others that I liked as well.I also enjoyed the customer service. I recommend Chantal Guillon to my friends.I don't think the shop has anything to improve upon; I look forward to the next time I am celebrating something, so I can go to here for some more macaroons.

I bought these macarons every time I visited my nephews restaurant on Hayes Street in San Francisco and was immensely saddened when the shop disappeared. Best macarons this side of Paris.

Absolutely the best! The gentleman owner is extremely kind and welcoming. Pair your macron with their unique selection of Alain Milliat bottled juices. Delicious!!!

I have a love-hate relationship with this macaron shop. Specifically, I hate how much I love their macarons because they are very expensive, but they are hands-down the best macarons I've ever had in my whole life. (This is coming from a girl who had a macaron bar at her wedding because she loves them so much)The good stuff: Chantal Guillon has a WIDE variety of macarons, with many unique flavors I haven't found elsewhere. You'll find traditional flavors like lemon and pistachio along with unique flavors such as creme brulee and tiramisu. Every single macaron is delicious (I've probably tried 10 of their flavors by now and have not been disappointed by a single one.) Not only are they good, they are exceptional. Easily the best macarons I've ever had.The bad stuff: This place is expensive, and the pricing doesn't make sense. You can pay $3 per macaron, which is already a steep price. If you want a box of 6 macarons, that'll cost you $19. Usually places discount you a dollar to incentivize you to buy more, but Chantal Guillon upcharges you an additional dollar for the box. This is true for all their pricing on multiples of macarons, so pay attention! It is cheaper to buy 6 individual macarons without the box.In summary: The first time I went here I was really mad at how much I liked it. I was hoping the macarons would be so-so and I could say "definitely not worth the price", but as I've mentioned, these are beyond delicious and I will continue coming back, just not too frequently so my wallet doesn't suffer.

Delicious macaroon that are pretty to look at and yummy to taste. Do you have something called "MACALLOW", which is a macaroon topped with a marshmallow.

My friend and I came here after a great breakfast at Cafe Borrone when I started to crave some macarons. Chantel was a chic little shop with tasty macarons! We found some of them to be quite sweet, however. The shell was light and not gooey; instead slightly chewy and perfect texture. We got the:-Dark chocolate -- way too sweet for me, around 60% darkness maybe?-lavender and black currant -- nice subtle lavender flavor and bold, semi sour black currant flavor - slightly too sweet-rose and lychee and raspberry -- couldn't really taste the lychee, but rose and raspberry was nice-passion fruit -- my favorite! Good balance of tang and sweetness with a lot of passion fruit flavor-earl grey -- a little too sweet, but great earl grey flavor-pistachio -- nutty and sweet, just ok-almond amaretto -- very sweet but has good amaretto flavorService was fine; the lone woman running the shop was nice but didn't seem to quite understand what we wanted when we asked for suggestions.Overall, a fine but overpriced place that I probably would only come back to get the passion fruit and rose/raspberry/lychee.

Beautiful and delicious macaroons, I particularly loved the pistachio macarons, great service greeted and welcomed as soon as I entered. Wide selection of flavors and they were wrapped with care in the cutest box.

Can be easy to miss as it is on a busy intersection. Can get a bit tight inside if the place is busy. Staff is very patient and pleasant.
