My daughter said she lived off the food from Darbar during her 4 years at Stanford. Her choice was Thali which is two person meal. Solid place to get Indian food in Palo Alto. We came for a weekday lunch and they have a buffet with good selection. The food was tasty and I really enjoyed it. We paid $41.36 (tax and tip included) for 2 people.

the palak paneer is insanely good. the atmosphere within the restaurant itself is also warm/inviting and conducive to inspiring feelings of affection; this is a nice place to start falling in love. one dish (with rice and naan) can easily feed two people, and the service is quite excellent and fast. the only con is that the water glasses are quite incredibly small, but this is an easy obstacle to overcome. 5 stars.
