So I think this is definitely a hidden gem among ramen spots in the area. They give HUGE portions, with really excellent flavoring. If it is your first time, be sure to go with the Dohatsusen, with your selection of broth. The spicy miso is legit, and they will top it off with the spicy minced pork that makes this place so unique. Oyako don is great as well, and they have a menu catered to kids (Yup, they will eat their vegetables for a chance at getting something from the gatcha machine!) If the indoor seating is too old school for you, then the outdoor seating is a nice option. Just know there might be winds.

Great food. Ambience is quite modest. Prompt service. Portion sizes are quite large and 4 people would be better off splitting 3 entrees

We love this place and I want to give them 5 stars but the last time we went there, the soy ramen was meh! It was probably a one-off, and won’t stop us from going here again. I’d highly recommend the Mushroom ramen, vegetarian yakimeshi (crispy rice with pickled plum! So good!!!) and the vegetarian appetizers.

Crispy rice not good at all. Basically over cook till a little burnt and dry. Not sure how that qualifies as a dish.

Spot for ramen and other small plates in a hidden area off of San Antonio. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2 Cost to worth it rating: 3 Opentableable: no reservations Return worthiness: wouldn't run back but might try other items on the menu if others wanted to go Highlights: - Pumpkin croquettes: my fave dish we had. Crispy katsu-like exterior with smooth and slightly sweet pumpkin inside. 5 stars - Variety of menu: cold and hot appetizer plates, several ramen broth options, rice bowls, and onigiris. - Big patio outside on the street that could be nice in warmer weather. Midlights: - Spicy miso signature ramen: thin meat cha shui and chunks of pork belly were good. Huge bowl. Broth was ok but didn't have much depth. 3 stars - Shrimp dumplings: not much flavor. Boiled and shrimp very minced. 2.5 stars Lowlights: - Atmosphere: low key, no frills, casual environment which is fine, but the environment wasn't so inviting to dine in. Was ok and there are so many Japanese ramen places around not sure if we'll be back.

it was a good amount of busy when we got there, and we got seated very fast. the food came out quickly as well! we ordered the tonkatsu dohatsuten & the tonkatsu asahi chashu, which we demolished HAHA it was so much yummier in person versus when we take out. very tender meat and chewy noodles + flavorful soup :) there's lots of space inside and outside! parking is a bit hard, so i'd suggest looking near the palo alto gas station first.

I love that the place is kinda small and the personal is always polite and efficient. Restaurant is clean and the food is awesome. The selection of tapas is great and you will love the ramen.

This is my home kitchen. I go to this lovely Japanese ramen place every week; my go-to for comfort food. Their vegetarian ramen is super good. So is chicken karaage. As a matter of fact, every on the menu is good

We liked the food, but the waitress told us to get out as soon as we put our chopsticks down because she needed to clean the table, literally. There’re several table available in case a crowd rushed in. No reason to be rude.

Had a craving for ramen so we stopped by for dinner. We got a few appetizers including the sweet soy-glazed tofu, chicken karaage, and a few onigiri. The glaze on the tofu was so good, we found ourselves dipping the chicken karaage in it. My personal favorite was the yaki onigiri which had a crispy outside and a rich buttery flavor. The tapas were definitely our favorite part of our meal

Like many other views, this place is so understaffed. People are waiting outside while there are plenty of empty tables inside.I ordered take out food on their website. My food was sitting there for more than 20 minutes and getting cold with many other take out dishes, but no one could pack them. They said they couldn’t give me receipts since I ordered on third website. Also they don’t give utensils unless you make a request, which I only found out after I got back to my hotel.

The place and the parking lot is very small. When it is busy it is hard to find parking. The food was so good. One of the best ramen I have ever had. The place is very small and busy. I would not recommend this place for large parties. Also have in mind that they have tables outside in case you don't mind.

I always like their papas. It's usually busy place so I have to avoid the peak time. Love the food and worth the wait.

Meh. Broth flavor was inconsistent and not think too. Def subpar compared to the other ramen placed bay area offers.

It's a local favorite (often packed on weekend nights) and deservedly so. It specializes in Nagoya-style Japanese dishes with its own versions of ramen, donburi and others. I had the donburi this time, and it was filling (brought a doggy bag home) and tasty. The tofu and cucumber appetizers were also great. I have to go back there to try their Tsukumen (cold dipping noodles).
