The halibut tasted amazing — moist and flavorful, with a natural sweetness that didn’t overpower the fish. Pairing it with curry sauce, nuts, and fresh vegetables was the perfect finishing touch.
Going in with little knowledge on this restaurant, we had a great culinary experience. Food was innovative and freshly prepared and service (Mariah) on point. The small plates menu, as explained by our server, allowed us to sample many different dishes. We sampled the Oysters, Warm Sesame Pancakes, Salad, Crudo, Yellowfin Tuna over rice and Pork Belly and Octopus. Most "mindblowing" were the Oysters topped with Meyer Lemon Foam.
Brought my 11 year old daughter, who wants to be a chef, to town for the fist time. We poured over menus prior to coming and she zeroed in on Ethel's. It's impossible to express how amazing our experience was from start to finish. Mickey the GM greeted us by name and took us to our reserved seats at the Chef's table.
