From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like regulars — warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Service was flawless all night: timely drink refills, thoughtful answers to menu questions, and spot-on recommendations that made ordering easy and fun. The sushi is insanely fresh. Every roll and piece of nigiri tasted clean, perfectly cut, and beautifully balanced. Whether you’re into classic sashimi or more creative rolls, everything is done right. The menu is also impressively broad — not just sushi, but tempura, grilled dishes, and specialty items that clearly show how much they care about quality. Personally, I’m a big fan of the sake kama (salmon collar) — rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance of traditional and relaxed, making it ideal for date night or a special dinner with friends or family. We didn’t do a tatami room this time, but even the main dining area felt cozy and authentic. There’s real sushi culture here — not just good food, but the full experience. Best Japanese restaurant on the peninsula. Very Nice inside, expensive, but you get what you pay for, very high quality food and a comfy Japanese interior design. Their sake nigiri is some of the best i’ve ever had. Shout out to the chicken karage, their miso soup, and their ice cold Sapporo.

I’m a Palo Alto native and went back here recently for nostalgia, 20 years ago this was in my friends and families rotation. I ordered the chirashi and the quality of the fish was simply awful. Sashimi is not supposed to be hard or rubbery. This is not really a Japanese restaurant it’s a place to order chicken teriyaki or fried chicken. The service and atmosphere of the place was lovely but I felt ripped off spending $50 for an almost inedible lunch that was supposed to be a nice treat. As my Japanese mom says “Rich people who don’t know Japanese cuisine go . They like it because service is good.” She’s right and it’s a shame.

A traditional Japanese experience in the heart of Palo Alto. Reservations are recommended.
We sat in a group of 3 with a stroller on the side. We were given ample time to order and the waitress came back with hot miso soup and extra small plates for sharing. The menu has quite a variety of rolls and combination dishes.
We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer, the mayo sauce had slight spicy kick. The Fuki Sushi lunch sets are a good choice for a little variety. My partner ordered the Fuji Mori, variety of high quality fish.
If you're in the area, stop by to enjoy a quiet and quaint atmosphere.

My wife and I loved the atmosphere and soft music. Food was delicious and fresh. Wait time for a table dinner time was less then 5 minutes. Some parking spots are compact, but the hostess was kind enough to remind us if we have all our belongings with us and not to leave any valuables visible in the car. Tablets, phones etc. Great experience all around.

They may have toiled on a production, giving it a grand scale we have seen in a famous destinationbin in China like a grand mountain , elastic valley of which many travers have visited .
