Went badly downhill 6-12 months ago. Izzy’s used to have the best bagels in California, bar none. Then a few months ago, things changed. The bagels are extremely chewy and flavorless. The poppy seed bagels have essentially no poppy seeds. Quality and service across the board are significantly worse. What happened?
Izzy’s is a real loss for Palo Alto.

This is not a serious establishment. This place is a joke and doesn’t deserve to be labeled a bagel place.
1) the ambiance and layout of the restaurant create an unwelcoming, unfriendly environment
2) the website is inaccurate and outdated
3) the service staff is incredibly rude and condescending
4) they are not a bagel place. They don’t have normal bagel options such as bacon egg and cheese etc

You certainly cut down on the amount of blocks you putting the sandwich and the coffee is abominable
Ridiculously GOOD, so chewy, with a lot of good topping options. A must for breakfast or lunch!

The Jalapeño bagel was great! A great pairing is the Jalapeño Cream cheese. There are other good bagel options as well!

Super delicious menu! We keep coming back not only for the yummy food and great vibes, but also because we really appreciate the diversity and inclusion — especially the consideration for those who keep kosher. Thank you!

Just rating in regards to being kicked out of izzy’s due to my service animal. This morning I went to Izzy’s bagel with a friend and brought my service dog. I was yelled at by the owner who is an extremely rude and passive aggressive lady with an accent and thick black glasses. She did NOT believe I had an emotional support animal as he was not wearing the vest, my dog has a skin condition so he is unable to wear the vest I explained that scanning his bar code is on his collar will bring up his forms and she did not believe me and would not allow me to show her proof. This is absolutely disgusting!!! What has happened to the Bedford Community?? My family has been going to Izzy’s ever since they opened and I have never been so disrespected like this in my life. I have this service dog due to the tragic death of my twin brother Noah Latimer, my service dog is assigned to me for PTSD and anxiety surrounding social settings. I have all the proper documentation for my dog to accompany me in establishments and have never come into a problem before. very disappointed. Will not be returning.

The bagel is very decent. But the entire order was wrong. I asked for honey walnut and got plain cream cheese. I asked for lox special and I got no salmon in the bagel. Just unbelievable. I paid $15 for it. What a rip off. Pls do a better job.

Service is glacially slow. Took them around 30 min to make me a bagel and then the guy at the counter just kept it for himself until I came looking for it.
