Came to Kirk’s because I used to eat here as a kid a lot. Unfortunately the burger is just “OK”. Ended up paying close to $70 for 2 average burgers, 2 shakes, and 2 sets of fries. They forgot my shakes and by the time everything was handed to me my food was cold. We took it Togo but ate in the car because we have a new born. So from the time I took the burgers from the restaurant to the car my burgers were ICE cold but sides were still hot. Unfortunately we ended up getting food from somewhere else. Lesson learned.

Skip the line at Gott’s, and grab a better burger in a chill environment.

Went for lunch today and it wasn't too busy at noon so we were first in line to order and only one other couple behind us. Take note that because Paly High School is across the street at ~12:20 the kids came pouring into the restaurant. The line to order was now almost at the door. Our lunch was really good, we had a fried chicken sandwich and a steak sandwich made with a flank steak. The steak was a lot bigger than the roll.

This place is right next to a (decent) burger chain and doesn’t get enough recognition. Kirk’s is BY FAR the superior product. Got a SteakBurger with cheddar cheese. Perfectly cooked patty. Nice char on the outside while pink and juicy on the inside. Fresh toppings too. This is not a “decent” burger. This is a PROPER burger. Definitely coming back.

Avocado Bacon Burger, fries, onion rings.Apparently, there is a big rivalry with another burger joint nearby. This place was pretty good.Parking is pretty much a nightmare in this shopping center, as locals already know. The place was relatively clean. They were cleaning up tables as I arrived.Girl at the counter was very nice. The burger was probably 3.5 stars. Didn't notice the bacon at all. Hardly could tell their was avocado. The sauce was kinda like "fry sauce" meets thousand island dressing. I liked it a lot. The bun was nice bit felt like the bread to meat/toppings ratio was too high. The meat itself didn't have a lot of flavor but the texture was really soft with charred exterior.Fries and onion rings were both really good. Fries are at least 4 stars and the onion rings were 4.5.When I travel, I look for the best local burger place. This place didn't live up to the standard I am used to, but it was still pretty good. I think next time i am in town i will have to experiment on other places till i find the place that i know i will come back to.If i do come back, i will likely do the larger classic burger with the sides.Let me know where I should go next time I am near Stanford for a great burger.

Kirk's does good burgers with friendly staff but some small flaws. The burgers are medium size and perfectly prepared. They tend to fall apart, so be careful while eating. The fries are good but sometimes greasy, with a large feeding ~2 people. We found a hair in one burger, but overall the staff seem professional and tidy. The service is friendly and helpful. It was easy to set up tables for a party of 6, and they can always help while ordering. However, separate orders can come out at very separate times. One time, we had 4 orders (1-2 burgers and 1 side of fries each) for a group of 6. The last 3 came out within 10 minutes of each other, while the first order took an additional 15 minutes. We received coupons as an apology. During our second visit (2 orders with 2 burgers each), the second order came out 10 minutes before the first order. The restaurant is never crowded even during peak hours, and prices are reasonable for Palo Alto ($10 for large seasoned fries and $13 for most single burgers). Overall, I wouldn't complain if a friend wanted to go, but I'm not going out of my way again.Vegetarian options: Not many vegetarian/vegan options, and I doubt there's a dedicated preparation area.Parking: This shopping center's parking lot is always busy. Try to search for parking near Sur La Table or Oren's Express.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps or ramps, but you walk alongside traffic in the parking lots, and the door has no power opener.

I had the Hawaiian burger with raw onions rather than crispy. I love this spot. Great cheeseburger!

Tons of options from classic to unusual. Burgers were great. Fries were great. Shakes were a great value. We're from out of town and enjoyed the chance to eat in the sun outside. Prices were not cheap but in line with other specialty burger shops.Parking: Free but busy and crowded parking near restaurant

Don't come here if you want to pay register price. They don't tell you they add a $5+ tip automatically regardless of what you get. There's a reason why they're not doing much business even during mother's day or any holiday that most people eat out. ITS THESE CROOKED PRACTICES.
