We were thoroughly underwhelmed by our experience at Local Union 271. The service was terrible. It took more than 15 minutes after being seated for someone to come take our order. We didn't see her again until we were almost done with our meal. Everything we just sort of mediocre. For those prices, I expect to be wowed. The salmon was fine, the chicken was fine. The potatoes and risotto were both undercooked. The brownie was dry and the bread pudding was really dense. We won't be coming back.

We had lunch on the special menu. The chicken tacos, caesar salad and bread pudding were excellent. Service was inattentive and the metal chairs felt uncomfortable after a while, otherwise we enjoyed the decor.

Our favorite place for breakfast on the weekend. Kids love the French toast with berries. Special thanks to Pablo who delivers an exceptional service as usual.Kid-friendliness: Staff is super understanding and very attentive.

This restaurant felt like it was straddling the line between fancy and cheap. It had a lot of elements (such as leaning towards farm-to-table & the pricing) that suggested it should be a more elevated restaurant. However, the actual food and service fell short. While our server was doing her best, she was clearly overwhelmed and had too many tables to manage. The starters we ordered (grilled artichoke, Caesar salad & bacon deviled eggs) were pretty mediocre. While we loved our two margaritas, for $14 they each had about 4 sips with all the ice in the glass. The GF Shaking Beef entree was the winner by far and we would return for that because it's hard to find GF. And despite ordering GF items at a restaurant that really centered their gluten-free focus, my husband still had a bad gluten reaction. For $200+ for 2 people (ordering the restaurant week special no less) we didn't feel like the value was worth the cost.

Our lunch venue every Monday. The Back of the house and Budha bowl salads are good and you can add protein. I usually add the Sizzling Beef or the Salmon. The Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon is good too

I make it a point to stop by here multiple times a week when I have the opportunity to do so when in the area! This comfy environment with farm-to-table grub always hits the mark when it comes to food, staff and service.Specifically today, Whitney and Nur totally did an amazing job (per usual) managing a busy Monday lunch hour with ease and warmth.Make it a point to try out as much of the menu as you can since they change their seasonal offerings often and you don’t want to miss out!!!

First time coming here and I have to be honest. I rarely give one star. Chicken Cesar. Frozen chicken, inedible. The Cesar dressing was horrible and I got a large salad and it was barely 2 ounces of lettuce. Chicken was dry, dull, no flavor at all. 24 plus tax and tip. 28 dollars for 2 dollars worth of food. One of the worse salads I have ever had. I wouldn’t give this to a homeless person.

We went to Local Union 271 for a Sunday brunch.Their brunch menu is extensive and features plenty of gluten free dishes for those with allergies. The food was very good - the loco moco dish (pictured) was delicious.4 stars for service due to drinks and coffee arriving after food - some room for improvement here. Truth be told, turnaround time for food was quite fast.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free options.

Good food in a great atmosphere. Could easily become a regular at this bright and airy bistro-style cafe bar. Wouldn’t be difficult to while many hours away in this lovely space, with friends, a book or a laptop. Very good food and drink options.

Best place to grab a quick sit down lunch in Palo Alto. Great atmosphere and delicious food. My friends and I were seated right away and within 10 minutes had our full meals right in front of us. Menu is also huge and has an option for everyone!

Local Union offers a solid food and cocktail menu. I ordered the waygu flank steak, and it was good, though it was served more medium rather than the medium rare I had ordered. Their cocktails were well prepared, though my Sazerac was just a tad on the sweet side. Service was great and the ambiance of the restaurant was warm and wonderful.

I'm sure they do the basic items well but the food was nothing special. The ingredients tasted cheap tbh The kitchen closes at 9 which we thought was a tad early. We sat down for our reservation at 8:30 and they informed us immediately that the kitchen was closing soon and that we needed to hurry. Lights came on at 10 and promptly removed everyone. Rules are rules and we respected them but the energy seemed really off and unfriendly towards customers
