food is an offensively expensive, greasy, salty, bland mess. I don't like leaving bad reviews but the food is truly awful.
coffee is from Verve, so it's fine.

Been a long time fan of manresa bread but they have started going down hill with the inconsistency. We both ordered jamon beurre and there was no beurre it was sad. Instead there was so much whole grain mustard it felt like we were eating raw horse radish every bite. I eventually had to open my sandwich to scrape the mustard off and I love mustard. The bread was also so heavily dusted with rice flour on the outside I had to take a knife to scrape it off. This place used to be a gem but the quality has definitely tapered off. The croissants are still good I would go there for only that moving forward.

I’ve been coming to Manresa Bakery in Palo Alto on and off over the years, and unfortunately, it’s been a steady decline. Frequent management changes have left the shop feeling disorganized, and the staff seems to lack knowledge about the menu—especially when it comes to items they used to offer. Their marketing feels more like gimmicks than substance, and frankly, it’s no different than going to any other coffee shop in the area.
The space itself feels chaotic and lacks the charm you’d expect from a Manresa brand location. On the bright side, the coffee is still good, but if you’re looking for the real Manresa experience, the Los Altos location is far superior. Save yourself the trip and head there instead.
We had a very average experience here. A rock hard baguette, expensive pastries, and no reason to go back.

Had been visiting the different locations for a while now. suddenly today I had to pay almost $9 for a latte with oat milk and simple syrup!!!! Prices have skyrocketed like crazy… and it feels cheap to actually almost punish lactose intolerant people!

Love the monkey bread. This is best when heated up for about 20 secs. Today, grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast. Heard might be one of the best in the area. TBH It was very good. I actually done without the onion sauce that was added. It took away from the simple ingredients that were in the name. That did not take away from the food at Manteca. Everything here is delicious

They're making you pay a surcharge based on how much you've spent but you don't know about it until you get the check.
Just raise the menu prices a bit and stop surprising your customers at the end with your scam.

Home of the $80 pie. Ridiculous. The utter gall. If you want an excellent, local holiday pie, go to any ACE Hardware that carries pie. They're from the Pie Company.
The pastries are good, but it's in the name - the bread is where it's at.
