Mike's is an old classic Palo Alto dig that never stops bringing new flavors to the menu.

We met up with friends. When asked what was good we said everything We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thai beef salad, tacos, pastas. The restaurant was quite busy. We were not rushed and we enoour time there. The noise level was a bit higher than usual including some pounding in the kitchen.

Back to a neighborhood restaurant. Lots of families with kids of all ages, adult couples and senior citizens. Reasonably priced food with a good selection for all ages. Definitely recommend it if you want a casual dinner.

Great local restaurant for a casual family brunch or dinner. Located right in the heart of Palo Alto midtown, Mike’s cafe (original) was been locals favorite for a long time. Now with alcohol license added and a new color scheme (red) Mike’s diner is becoming a great bar to grab a drink with old friends!

Been here a couple of times with my Parkrun group after our event on a Saturday morning - all is OK with food and service, pleasant and simple!

Nice neighborhood place in warm weather, in winter it's poorly heated ..has lots of single pane glass.

Our server was prompt, friendly, and informative. There was a party going on in the bar, but it wasn't too noisy. Our party of three each enjoyed a different drink and different entrees. Two of us shared the delicious brownie topped with vanilla ice cream. Our family member loved the strawberry cheesecake. We will always come back to Mike's !

Cool neighborhood diner. The kids spaghetti and meatballs are a hit with our kids. We also love the weekend brunch. Wide variety of sweet and savory brunch items.Parking: Parking provided and also parking options outside.Kid-friendliness: Alot of families come with their kids although the place has a bar and often games showing.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from the front door or patio

Wish I could give them a better rating but it is not the Mike's of old. Service was perfunctory. Really dislike watching my food sit under the salamander. The chicken we added to the Caesar clearly came out of the walk-in. How hard is it to throw a breast on the grill? Pancakes were tasteless. Fries tasted like oil. Honestly, I have never seen my kids react so strongly in a negative way to what they were served. Oh, and there has to be a better way for a server to ask about your meals than "Everything come out ok?" Would love to have answered that question once we actually tasted it, but we never saw our server again.

I went with two close friends and had a good time. We didn't have a reservation but they take walk-ins and the atmosphere was clean and warm. We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, a grilled cheese, and 3 hot chocolates. The food tasted great but took 30 minutes to arrive while two other tables that arrived after us and ordered the same thing got their food within 10 minutes. Overall I would come again but I would keep in mind the food may take time to arrive.

Have been meaning to come for a while and glad we did! Burgers and salads were perfect. The place is larger than expected, but has a great easy feel. We're looking forward to coming back, especially for the patio area when the weather warms.

Good skirt steak and salmon dinners. Nice wines. The tiramisu dessert was good too. Good service throughout. I didn't like seeing the 5% surcharge "to sustain the cost of goods and labor". They should instead add 5% to the cost to each of the items on the menu. This would be the honest thing to do. Many other businesses have already raised their menu prices to reflect the current business environment. Their 5% JUNK fee is unfair to other businesses who are transparent about their pricing from the onset.

Make sure you make Mike's one of your regular spots! Great bar with big screen to watch sports. Great variety of cocktails, beer, & wine The food is so delicious, comforting and high quality. We had the chicken picatta, Fisherman's Stew, and shared the bread pudding. All were great with plentiful servings. Mila (sp?) is WONDERFUL! She's energetic, cheerful, attentive and handled the dining room expertly. Great Friday night date!
