The lady who works behind the counter is extremely rude and unprofessional. Very snobby and no manners, she laughed in my face multiple times, and since then, I have not returned. She ruined the whole experience. I emailed and never got a response back. I'm not quite sure if this behavior is acceptable. But she had a gross attitude, a bigger, heavier set woman wearing glasses with hair in a bun.
I’ve come here literally >10 times. One of my favorite spots in Palo Alto. I’ve tried probably 90% of the desserts behind the glass counter. My favorite is the kataifi with pistachio, muska shape with pistachio, and the Turkish breakfast and their kunefe! Their tea is fantastic too. Delightful Turkish cafe in the heart of downtown Palo Alto! I was originally just planning on popping my head in for a quick caffeine pick-me-up before heading to a library to work, but I loved the vibes (and treats) at Oklava so much that I ended up staying almost the whole day.
