I got their salmon today via the poki bowl and onigiri. I ended up being sick for 4 - 5 hours until the medication finally kicked in. Beware if the raw fish.

Onigilly is like a staple work lunch takeout. I like the food here. My top two favorites are1) shrimp set of 3 onigilly with edamame2) salmon poke bowl (my husband's fav)The place is nice and bright but not too big. The place gets crowded during weekday lunch times. So I highly recommend a take out on GrubHub.The price is my only problem. It's insanely expensive. So l'd not rank this is a quick simple lunch bite that's budget friendly.

Not a bad spot for a quick, hearty, warm and inexpensive snack. It's no Japan 7-Eleven, but it'll do. Lots of flavours to select from and the spot is pretty quiet so you get your food pretty quick.

I've been wanting to try this for awhile and I'm glad I did finally. I ordered the 2 onigiri combo with karaage. It also came with edamame. The two rice balls I had are unagi (eel) and snow crab. I enjoyed both rice balls but the karaage is so so. The chicken is not bad but I'll probably skip it next time. It's good to have some edamame in the combo.I see some people complain about the price and I understand that onigiri are basically convenient store food in Asia but unfortunately that's true pretty much in the US where you get crappier food with higher price compared to Asia so I don't think it's fair to say it's the fault of this one restaurant. The place itself is bigger than you'd expect from the entrance and fairly clean. The service is alright and I did have to wait a bit before they gave me my pickup but not enough to say it's bad service because I'm sure they are busy by looking at the huge number of orders they already prepped before it's 11:15am.

I love Onigilly! It is one of the most comforting foods I can imagine. The salmon and the eel onigiri are so rich and tasty and the rice cooked so well. It’s the perfect protein + carb, filling meal. I have only ever had carryout so I can’t speak to ambiance or service, but I have never had an order be late or incorrect.

We ordered for pick up - 3 onigilly set,1 poke, and 1 karaage on 12/30/23. One of the onigilly, spicy shrimp already went bad to our surprise. Called the restaurant to let them know but no one was picking up the phone. Poke was okay but not sure how fresh are the raw ingredients they use in the poke bowls. Karaage seemed dry. Highly concerned about quality control and freshness of ingredients.

Overall a very disappointing experience. I love rice balls but the Salmon onigiri tasted like it was from a can. Karage chicken was dry and cold. Not worth the price at all.

Ordered online to pickup and came to the store to find it closed. I even had received a notification that my order would be reading in 15min. Fix your system or at least send me an email!!

I was quite impressed! I ordered two bento sets and they were ready in 5 minutes. The flavors are quite good, especially the ginger beef and teriyaki tofu. The salmon was plain. The edamame was good and I appreciated the bit of marinated tamago, pickled radish, and delicious (if lukewarm) karage chicken. This was a great value and I'll definitely come again!Dietary restrictions: Clearly annotated gluten free options. Be aware that bento boxes sit in one mixed container.Parking: You might have to hunt a bit for parking since it's University Avenue.Wheelchair accessibility: One floor with no stairs!

The last time I had Onigiris was a few years ago in Japan, so I was excited to see this place randomly while hanging around Palo Alto. The shop's interior was very clean, with a modern design, but I thought the Onigiris were okay. I would've like for rice-to-topping ratio to be a bit lower.
