I've been going to Osteria for about 40 years. Recent changes to the menu have made it even better. Now, ALL the pastas are freshly made! The capellini pomodoro is the best rendition of this dish on the Peninsula, in my opinion. Osteria is one of the few restaurants who still do veal and it is very good. The affogatos are a delicious treat - I would come just for this. And during this visit, our wait person (Violet) for so kind to my friend who is in a wheelchair. We had...
I took my friend to Osteria for his birthday. It was a great experience in all aspects. The waiter was friendly, considerate, and had a great sense of humor. He brought him a special dessert for his birthday.
Outdoors on Saturday had great ambiance on warm evening. Busy evening with dozens of walk-ins which overwhelmed wait staff. We ordered traditional veal dishes which were smoothed with sauce (we requested just a light demi glaze). Good overall presentation of dishes but entrees may have suffered from reheating. Not to sure we will return.
