My nostalgia for this place may color my review - but I've been coming to Rick's since I was in elementary school. From my perspective, the quality and flavor of their ice cream has never changed, always solidly good. I just had a birthday recently, and the cake was purchased from Rick's - best ice cream cake I've ever had. I'd say they know what they're doing. Only complaint I'd have is that the interior of their shop is rather cramped - though...
Outstanding ice cream cake. The birthday cake flavor was… rather rich and the cake was perfectly moist and sweet. The green coarse sugar was a surprising textural contrast too. A pleasant treat.
I came to this local Ice cream place in Palo Alto recently. Good amount of parking and there is also a EV charging place nearby. The had a lot of options to choose from ranging from Scoops, Sundaes and Milkshakes. Staff was helpful and the place overall had good vibes.
