Waiter assumed we knew nothing about ingredients. Seated at a table for 2 even though we were booked for 4. Then tried to push two tables by the kitchen together, even though lovely booths for 4 were available. (We moved). Drinks took 45 min to arrive. All food arrived all at the same time: starters, small plates, and mains. Afterward we sat in front of dirty plates for the rest of the evening. Food was tasty and the space is lovely, but service was terrible.
I went with my husband and daughter. We had a great time. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. The cocktails were excellent, as was the food. The flavors and amounts were just right. Would recommend highly.
We've had lunch here before, and decided to return for dinner. Food was very good, fresh and full of flavor. Restaurant was very clean and organized. Not too noisy, and service was fine.
The service was a real let down - Orders were late / forgotten. Servers changed and no one came after. The wait staff didnt seem to know a lot about the food and recommended very 'western' options. They called the Garlic Naan - Naan Bread :/
We visited Rooh to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We arrived around 6:50pm and were told there would be a 45–50 minute wait. With three little kids in our group, we decided to wait it out. After about 45 minutes, we checked in and were told that a large group had finished but wasn’t leaving yet, so the table wasn’t ready. That made sense, so we waited another 15 minutes.
When we checked again, we got the same response with no clear update, and by this point the kids were hungry and cranky. I mentioned this to the hostess, but instead of providing a better estimate or suggesting any alternative within the restaurant, she (politely) told us we could try another restaurant. That response really caught me off guard—especially from a place like Rooh—since we had already invested an hour waiting.
Thankfully, within the next few minutes, the owner/manager stepped in and personally made sure we were seated (a party of nine with kids) and that food for the kids arrived in under 7 minutes. That quick turnaround helped a lot, and once we were settled, the food was excellent.
Overall, the evening turned around because of the owner’s attentiveness, but the initial handling at the reception could have been much better. A clearer estimate or more proactive communication would have avoided a lot of frustration.

Did not have a good experience at ROOH, despite having heard great things about it. Service started off horrible, the lady at the front was not welcoming at all, super rude and just did not seem happy to be there. Food was very mid - we ordered paneer pinwheels which were disgusting texture and taste wise, yogurt kebab was the only decent item we tried, and also ordered tandoori tacos which were really odd textually as well. Came for a light snack and the small plates sufficed for this. It was a little noisy due to a few large groups. Overall, would probably not come here again or recommend this to anyone.
Great drinks, great food.. seems like we tried everything on the menu. The cauliflower was great, as was the potato dumplings. The favorite was the lamb - flavorful and done just enough!
The drinks were all great. Loved the lavender drink served in my private little bathtub 🛀 ☺️

My girlfriend and I are from Palo Alto and for whatever reason have never been here for dinner. Well, we sure will come here again. We had such a great experience tonight. The restaurant is beautiful and the servers were very nice. We were just hoping that the food delivered, and it really did. We each had cocktails, the small plate salmon, cauliflower and the butter chicken. Everything was wonderful. I will definitely come back again. Try it out, you will love it.

We ordered a bunch of vegetarian dishes. Standout mains were paneer chilli roll, labneh kebab, and broccoli and mascarpone kofta. Desserts were outstanding as well-Saffron sandesh, masala chai infused chocolate ice cream and tres leches. On top of it, the staff were really friendly and service was pretty good!

Good creative menu, one suggestion only get 2:30pm reservation off the reserve a table apps, as your kitchen closes at 2:30pm. Though it was nice of the staff to call me and inform me much earlier and we were able to place our order but there was not much gap between drinks, appetizer and food.

So expensive for so much little more than a good place. No clue how to make hot dishes (spicy).
Elevated Indian food. Food is great, but expensive. The lamb shank biryani $50, paneer pinwheel $30, and plain naan $6 were all great. Reasonable portions. Decent service. Not too busy during dinner time on a Saturday. Very clean, nice, medium sized restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, full bar. Still prefer hole in the wall Indian spots. Free street parking, parking lot, parking garages on the weekends

Consistently ROOH has been performing great. In terms of their quality, taste, aroma, plating and we were with our friends and they were amazed by the overall experience. I would like to thank the team for doing a great job. Keep up the great work.
