We ordered the pepperoni pizza. It's a little smaller than a sheet of paper, cut into 4 and good for 2 people to share. It's very good! It's not heavy as I would think being a deep dish type. The crust was crispy but not hard and perfectly baked (golden). The bread was light and fluffy. There was plenty of cupped pepperoni. Too bad we're not from the area.

The pizza is all right, maybe I'm just not used to the style of pizza but I definitely thought that it could have had more cheese and meat, also wished that the side of the crust was a little more crunchy. The service was amazing, they were able to make the food so fast, and they also gave a free piece of hamburger chewy candy which I thought was really cute!! The environment is clean and it was super easy to order it through the kiosk!

First time trying Detroit style pizza and I must say, I am now a believer. We had the pleasure of ordering for a carb-night - available thru DoorDash delivery to Stanford hospital - such a delicious pie with bomb flavor made fresh. Had the vegetarian mushroom and the homie got pepperoni. Trust you will not want to share. It's that good,

Exceptional square pies cooked to crispy perfection for when only carbs will do. Delivery works well, and very repeatable the next day.

This place really missed the mark for me. Ordered the Mush-o-Roni and the Big Von, but honestly couldn't tell the difference between them in terms of flavor. I understand that this is Detroit style pizza, so it really delivered on that in terms of looks, but for some reason, there was hardly any red sauce on our mushroom pizza, so it was like a glorified cheese bread. The white sauce on the Big Von had no flavor either, so at the end of the day, it felt like we were eating two big sauceless cheese breads. For ~$25 per pizza this was so disappointing. I would probably have a better time in the frozen pizza section at a grocery store. oof. I also paid for all three sauces, the cilantro lime, ranch, and SPG sauce, but they were all left out of the bag. I didn't realize until I came home, which was a bummer, but I paid $1.25 for each sauce, so I forced myself to go back and asked for the missing sauces. Also, why are the sauces all the same price but they're different sizes????? SPG sauce: this just tastes like thousand island/chipotle aioli. Why did I pay $1.25 for this? Cilantro lime sauce: so thick and doesn't really enhance the pizza flavor. Ranch: your most basic ranch. This is an overall a hard pass for me. Can't say I recommend... not sure if this was genuine Detroit style pizza because it's my first experience, but it just isn't for me.

I hate that I'm giving this place such a great review. But it's truly delicious. You get what you pay for. A square pizza that runs you $20+ is questionable. However, if you're a foodie and happy to pay for good dough, this is the place for you. We ordered 10 pies for a birthday party. Trust that it will fill people up. There's a lot of carbs in this pizza, but every bite is perfect. A crunchy crust with a chewy consistency in each bite. The pepperoni is perfectly cooked with a little cup crust on the outer edges and the cheese, the cheese here is SO GOOD. If you're a mushroom fan, then you'll love their mushroom pizza. A highly recommend for those who enjoy a good Detroit style pizza.

Sooooo good! We got the pepperoni square. Fabulous! Crusty crispness around the edges, soft light fluffy inside, crisped high quality pepperoni on top. We did take out so no experience with the service. The take out was done promptly and accurately. Very happy!

I finally had the Square Pie Guys pizza after seeing pictures online when I searched local Detroit style pizza near me. We decided to go into Local Kitchen and order on site. You order through the tablets they have designated on the side wall. I personally ordered the Big Von. This particular location gives you a time estimate on wait time for pick up when you order and also in a big screen above the kitchen counter. I was pleased that the time estimate was accurate and was able to pick up my order in the designated time frame. There was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Keep in mind that since this location is on California Ave. It could get pretty crowded weekdays during the lunch hours. We went a little before noon to avoid any crowd. Location is clean. The description indicated that the pizza size is good for one hungry person or to share. The pizza was cut into four square pieces. The pizza was good, I loved the crispy edges and despite the pizza being thick, it was cooked all the way through and not doughy in the middle. I was surprised that the hot honey sauce was not noticeable. I saw them drizzle it on when the food was being prepared and packed for pickup but I didn't get the flavor through eating the pizza. I could only assume that the flavor was weak, don't know if it was intentional or not. I didn't really have any interaction with anyone except when my name was called out when the order was ready and I asked for chili pepper flakes. The pizza was pretty pricey considering essentially it's a small pizza. Pizza selection toppings are limited as well. In this location there were only four types to choose from. I tried it, but the price point is hard to justify for not the world's most spectacular pizza.

These are extremely good square Detroit-style pies. The cheese or the mushroom versions are the best. Very very good Detroit pies served here!!

Square Pie Guys (SPG) has come to Local Kitchens @ Palo Alto.I saw that on the Local Kitchens App, and I knew I had to order The Big Von.This is not a pepperoni pizza, it's pepperoni on a Detroit Style pizza! OMG! Creamy white sauce, italian sausage, pepperoni, and hot honey. Chewy and soft dough, with crispy caramelized edges. Local Kitchens did it right! I have ordered this pizza from the SPG in Oakland, and it's nearly identical. If I had to find one flaw, I might say the hot honey isn't spicy enough. But that's being really picky. Hot Honey is honey infused with chili peppers. So it's a honey that's sweet and spicy. If you're new to it, you have to try it. I ordered my Big Von via the Local Kitchens App, and then waited for the "ORDER READY" message. I always pickup my own food at Local Kitchens. I walked in and my food was waiting for me on the counter. The young man thanked me for my business, and I was on my way. The restaurant was pretty busy, with lots of people in the dining room. BTW, California Ave is still closed to traffic. Many restaurants have outdoor dining areas in the street. I park for free at the "350 Sherman" parking complex. The Big Von is priced at $23. That might seem pricey for what appears to be a small pan pizza. A slice is 1/4 of the pizza.

I first tried Square pie guys in SF while living in the east bay. Was so happy that they opened a location in Oakland and now that I'm living in the south bay I am SO THANKFUL I can order it from local kitchens. I was hesitant that it might not be as tasty but the pizza was perfection as always.I ordered the usual pepperoni. The crust is perfectly crispy, the thin pepperonis are a salty kick, and there's just the right amount of sauce that it doesn't over power the flavors. I had reheated leftovers in the air fryer and it tasted just as delicious as when it came fresh!!I hope square pie guys is here to stay in Palo Alto and will def be making repeat orders ((:
