My go-to lunch/dinner spot in downtown Palo Alto! Yes, it’s gotten a lot pricier- $18 for a sushi burrito... Yes, I’m still willing to pay that price for this delicious roll. I get the salmon samba every time and it never disappoints. Sometimes sushi doesn’t feel filling enough for a meal but this certainly does the trick for me. What a great flavor and texture combo! I feel good after eating it too like my body recognizes it is a nourishing meal. There’s always open seating...
I absolutely love this chain and I’m pretty sure it’s only in Silicon Valley and San Francisco. I currently live in the Boston metro and am back to Silicon Valley for 2nd home tours and this is the first place I stopped to eat after my flight. I ordered the Kim-ritto thinking both options were vegan after a few bites I noticed I was eating beef which I just don’t do so the staff was nice enough to give me the vegan tofu that I was looking for.
Had the Latin Ninja, very average, lettuce ruins the whole thing IMO, and salmon was supposed to be raw, but tasted like it was partially cooked.
I'd say it's slightly lower quality than a Safeway sushi roll, but 50% more expensive.
Staff was incredibly fast and friendly.
Atmosphere is standard chain counter style, relatively clean.
