Tamarine Restaurant & Gallery

We had an incredible experience at Tamarine. The drinks were fabulous with fun touches (like bubbles), and the food was all delicious. I really appreciated the attentiveness of the staff, constantly filling waters, and they waited adequate time before bringing the main course after the appetizers. The food is pricey but servings were on the larger side which helped make up for it.

The food was absolutely delicious. A bit noisy inside but quieter and very pleasant outside.

Such refined environment with special attention to quality ingredients for delicious dishes. Every appetizer and all the main dishes were succulent. Service was outstanding. Definitely coming back.

Cocktails always shine here, and our 2 did once again. As always, the food was delicious, with a great new (to us) starter of corn fritters. summer menu had peach/burrata salad which was wonderful, and we had the sea bass.

We had dinner at Tamarine recently and we were happy with the food and the presentation. What I personally didn't like was the staff members attitude- starting with the person who greeted us (very flat affect, no smile or any sign of enthusiasm) to various people who served our meals, cleared the table or filled up our glasses with water. I was wondering if they were trained to be like that? A smile doesn't cost anything, but means so much when you are dealing with people.
I recommend reservations, outdoor seating is available.

Every single dish was very well prepared and delicious. We always have a great experience dining at Tamarine.

We love Tamarine. It has been our favorite restaurant in Palo Alto for many years. The food is consistently spectacular, and the service excellent. Last night the food was also spectacular, and the service very good. Until the end of the evening, when we were basically forced out of the restaurant at 9:30 pm, in what we all felt was a rather abrupt, rough, and inappropriate manner, not in keeping at all with the rest of the refined and subtle experience. It was a rather sour and shocking ending to an otherwise lovely evening.

A very good Vietnamese restaurant. More than competitive with The Slanted Door in its days in San Francisco.

We went two couple for dinner, and ordered a variety of dishes, including two types of fish, shaking beef, Green Papaya Salad, soup, dessert, and everything was absolutely delicious.

Adds up to a rather pricey meal, but we enjoyed the food very much.

Every dish we order was fantastic delicious unusual ingredients and amazing. The only trouble is the chicken curry and the shake and beef were not as hot temperature wise as we'd like. Overall, the food was amazing. The service was fine. We were sitting outside, so there was expected street noise, but it was very, very lovely. We celebrated our anniversary.

Service and food outstanding. We followed recommendations and appetizers, main entrees and desserts were 10 points.

We had a nice lunch. Server was prompt and attentive and his menu suggestions were delicious!

Food was amazing, prawns and garlic noodles, lamb skewers!

We celebrated our daughter's graduation with a dinner at Tamarine. The management and staff did a great job in making the occasion very special for our group. Initially, the seating was not available, but they worked hard to accommodate a comfortable seating arrangement for us.
Junior and the rest of the waitstaff timed all courses perfectly and patiently answered all our questions. They had a wonderful attitude and worked diligently to make sure we were enjoying our evening.
As far as the food, the presentation was well done and not overly modern. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality, especially the Shaking Beef, where inferior quality would have resulted in a poor dish. We ordered a variety of dishes across the menu and were very pleased with all the items.
Lastly, we did not feel rushed to finish and leave. We had plenty of time to celebrate the occasion together. Thank you for making it a special evening.

We were celebrating a birthday so wanted to make it special. And Tamarine did just that in every service category!!

This was my second time in two years at Tamarine. The first the food was excellent. This time there was no wow factor in the food.
