flavors and freshness are great hut portions are ridiculous. i ordered a salmon bento as delivery and it was paper thin lol check out the images - the salmon thickness is about as thick as a disposable spoon and as long as maybe two edamame hahahaha and literally u get only one “filet” if thats what u wanna call it lol

Ordered this on Lunchdrop. Not worth the price. Not authentic Japanese. The "bento" box consisted of a couple rolls, a very small salad with crispy wonton strips (😕what?!), and some edamame. No miso soup, no rice. The rolls had fresh ingredients, but the sushi rice was very overcooked and extremely bland. No seasoning whatsoever. With the plethora of good Japanese food in the area, I suggest going somewhere else.

pretty mediocre for an expensive price. Japanese cheesecake was not Japanese cheesecake.
Quick service, which is exactly what we needed since we were starving when we came in for a late dinner. It was almost a bit too quick… The restaurant was clean and the staff was nice, but the food was just ok. The tori udon was nice and light, while the niku udon was more flavorful, but neither were great.

Very bland food, terrible terrible terrible service, plus 10 mins+ waiting time for a simple udon soup. My main complaint was that the front desk did not greet me or smile at me at all but warmly welcomed a couple behind me - what can I say, maybe call it a "couple/ family friendly dining place" 🙂

Mid Dec2024 Japanese resto in SSC that specializes in noodles. The menu is varied with usual staples. Their claim is the specialized broth preparation of their dishes which pair well with their alcoholic drinks. Food prep was standard.
Serving sizes are a bit small compared to other American restaurants.
Service staff were a bit unattentive but efficient when serving.
The place was clean and generally a good place for small groups.
Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious.

Food was not very tasty. Came out too quickly and not hot making me think the fried chicken was not fresh. Also due to the lack of flavor asked for hot sauce to go with my $26 udon and was told that would be an additional charge.

Great food, excellent location and cool interior.
The food is definitely prepared thoughtfully and with love. The udon noodles (their specialty) are great and come with different meat options. Both the chicken and the cauliflower karaage are delicious.
Finally, the mixed-mushroom truffle risotto is outstanding. Really delicious and savory and we just couldn't get enough. It's one of those dishes you dream about for a long time.

Huge servings, great for a quick bite. Don’t expect anything fancy, but the prices aren’t bad either.

$35 uni udon but only came with 2 pieces of uni. Seasoning was mid. The duck and Japanese mushroom udon was very plain, the mushroom had no flavor at all. Also the one of the male server likes to roll his eyes while taking orders, if he does not want to serve maybe try a different job?

The food was ok. We arrived at 7:30pm and were seated at a nice table. However at 8:15 the staff starting sweeping the floor, dragging the chairs and piling them while we were still having our dinner.
I knew they close at 9pm and still asked and was told they close at 9.
Overall a nice dinner was ruined by the servers!
Will not return and do not recommend.

Cute and clean dining environment. I have high standards for udon, and they have the best udon (taste and texture) I’ve had in the South Bay. The lunch unagi bento has a generous portion and the ingredients were fresh!
