Went for lunch, the ambience was very nice. Food wasn't bad but the octopus was pretty fishy. Think the kitchen was a little backed up because food took a while.

This was our first time at Taverna. The food was excellent. We had a salad for starters. My husband had the whole fish with a side if greens. I ordered the lamb chops. We had Greek coffee and shared a baklava. The two servers who helped us were both gracious, friendly, and patient. The place was bright and orderly. The bathroom was well-stocked, clean and uncluttered. I'm surprised they're not busier. But, many it's a lazy Sunday morning for people living nearby. We will definitely be back!

It doesn't get any better than this. The ambience, the food, the servers, the selection of both food and wine can't be beat. Everything we ate from moussaka our salad calamari, and the pistachio ice cream were over the top. Plus they had a fabulous selection of California and Greek wine. Our servers were so much fun. The evening was over the top. I can't wait to return.

And they even brought out our dessert with a candle to help celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. Excellent experience. We'll be back.

We love Taverna! The food is excellent and the staff are all very warm, attentive and solicitous. It's like a home cooked family meal, but better! We had the special appetizer of the day, crispy anchovies, and they were sublime. The omelette came with a generous portion of delicious mushrooms as well as delicately sliced "melted" leeks in Kasseri cheese, and the gyro was fantastic.

Just a lovely evening sitting outdoors on the side street under the lights, with endless helpful waiters and attention, who made great suggestions and were charming to boot. We were 2 couples, we shared all plates. The beets were the only thing that was meh, everything else was simple, felt healthy and lovely. I heard the table liked the moussaka. Will certainly go back again.
