Nice service and cocktails Solid beet salad and shrimp starter Chicken skewers with butter lettuce — salad was tasty, but chicken could have been warmer
We reserved outdoor seating 10 days in advance but unfortunately they seated us on a random table out near the sidewalk. Our waiter was delightful and very proud of the restaurant. My mom and I loved our Moussaka but my husband's bun on his burger was stale and my brother did not enjoy his Gyro. This was a birthday dinner so we were hoping for a better experience, but we were told the better located tables outside are for larger parties. This was our third time here. Not sure we will be returning.
Exquisite service & excellently prepared food. Wines expensive but Greek list provides good tasting options.
We were a large party celebrating a birthday. Could not have asked for a better experience . Our lead waiter Mus tookthe time to explain in detail the specialties for the day and made sure our vegetarian members were also well taken care of . The service was comparable to fine dining, where in our dishes were timed perfectly during placement. Food was delicious and service was top notch, we ended our evening with the team creating a dance floor , playing celebratory music of our choice . Absolutely recommend this spot if you are looking for an experience that goes beyond food.
Taverna provided a welcoming atmosphere and superb Greek food presentation. Our server Mustafa (Moose) was so friendly and made a great recommendation for Bordeaux to complement our food. Loved the Tzatziki, the Moussaka, the Pita, the Horiataki, and desserts. Family style is the way to go, so take a group!
Excellent dinner. Very tasty. Great service When they have lamb chops specials order them. Fabulous. Their calamari are also super tender.
The server messed up our orders. We were served on something else, and later was taken away, but they charged us at the end. Dessert was delayed and the ice cream was half melted when it served. Food is great but service is far below average.
Everything is good! However, I would love it if you'll be more active on phone or chat when communicated. Been communicating via phone and sending voicemails but to no avail. Thanks!
It's the smallest of details that add up to a great experience. Great food, excellent service, seating options were comfortable.
Our party of 2 couples went on the Sunday night of the 4th of July weekend at 6pm. The restaurant was not very busy at first and about half full by the time we left. It wasn't noisy. I don't remember hearing Greek music, but that would have been a nice addition to the ambiance. The server seemed like an owner or manager rather than a trained server. There were two issues. Our friend asked about dishes that are vegan. The server had to clarify if fish or seafood were ok, which is not very reassuring. It should be a basic requirement that all servers understand the definition of vegan. He did offer some suggestions and he proactively served the feta on the side for the watermelon appetizer. The second issue was a cocktail order. My friend ordered a Vodka martini slightly dirty. He seemed confused about what this meant and came back to clarify if she meant skinny (??). The cocktail he brought was cloudy with excess olive brine. We aren't big eaters and it was nice to have the option to order small plates. I frequently order octopus at Mediterranean restaurants and the octopus dish was one of the best I've ever had. Parking on the street nearby was easy. Prices were on the high side, but generally worth it. The exception was the watermelon appetizer which came with about 12 1" cubes of watermelon with feta for $14.

We were a party of 4 seated outside for lunch. The food was great, very nicely done - octopus, calamari, halloumi, moussaka, beet salad. However the service was spotty. Forgot our iced teas, then brought only one rather than two. Was almost the end of the meal when the second arrived. The server did check for gluten very well, and many dishes were GF or could be made so. The outside seating was noisier than expected as the enclosure is hard surfaces with nothing to dampen sound. We could hear voices from the furthest table loud and clear - not very pleasant. Music was loud but they did turn it down for us. There used to be nice plant decor but that is mostly gone. Ambience could definitely be better. The outside heaters do work well - it was a chilly day.
TAVERNA- wow, what a treat! We had the most beautiful meal, paired with the loveliest wine and champagne and the most incredible service! The caviar, tzatziki sauce, beet salad and king salmon were all excellent! The warm and cozy ambiance and amazing wait staff made for a very special evening! Thank you for a wonderful evening - we can't wait to return!
Second time at Taverna. Service was very uneven. We had to ask several times for my husband's martini, water, salt and pita. My husband's martini finally arrived at the same time as our appetizers. We had to then ask the server to delay our mains. The server delayed firing our mains but when they arrived they were warm not hot. Food was good but not great.
We enjoyed our lunch here. The only complaint was that the taramasalata tasted way too fishy. Everything else was excellent. The octopus in the octopus salad was very tender and tasty. The dressing on the frisee was a little watery, but at least it was light. My husband said his chicken souvlaki was very good too. The pita and tzatziki were good, and even the iced tea was good (I am very picky about iced tea!). The service was a little slow, but the ambiance was excellent. Nice and quiet so we could catch up with friends.
The food was delicious and filling . Love their warm and inviting ambience , servers are very attentive , welcoming and super friendly. We ordered octopus and prawns . Tons of flavor... lots of appetizers to choose from. Enjoyed my experience and will return for sure!
