My wife and I used to come here occasionally because she loves how their bread comes in those brownish orange clay planter pots. Plus the food is really good too.
Really wish they would re-open
This place has an excellent space, intimate enough to have a good conversation w/ friends but also a place that allows you to cut loose and get in the groove of the DJ's beats! Loved DJ Dion & his choice of mixes, the staff here are friendly w/ exceptional customer service skills.Their pinot noir selection didn't disappoint either. If you haven't been here, gotta try it.
Absolutely loved discovering this spot. At first, I was confused because it is adjacent (inside?) Anthropology. But fear not: the food and the attention is great.Their bread comes served in a plant pot. They bring the check inside a little book. They have the most amazing options: we had a Cream of Mushroom, truffle fries, and a great veggie burger.
I always walk by here when I'm at the mall, and it's usually pretty packed that I end up going to a different restaurant. But not today! They have a pretty good selection of food for lunchtime. I had a cup of mocha and ordered the chicken. the chicken was cooked to a crisp but still juicy inside. Planning to come back soon for the French toast and cheeseboard !
What a sweet little neighborhood stop on the way back from errands. Thoroughly enjoyed my veggie bagel with accommodating service from the very thoughtful and kind man I’m guessing was the owner.
Extremely disappointing. For a restaurant that was billed as 4.5 stars by Open Table and Google Maps, and one with pretensions to being "exceptional" with a > $120/couple dinner (without alcohol) that featured artful description of dishes, Terrain really didn't measure. The cooking was OK, but the design of their dishes was... amateurish: every dish!1. Roasted-apple, fennel & arugula salad: with a weird combo of too-crunchy all-arugula (I felt like a horse chomping) greens & tooth-sticking cubes of carmelized oat & seeds (what is that??), this salad fell very short. Odd extremes of bits of foods made the mouth-feel really strange, and ultimately unsatisfying. Roasted apple was the only saving grace, but not enough to save the dish.2. Charcuterie: A big dish - definitely not an "appetizer" and priced accordingly at $22... very ordinary and uninteresting hard crostini. Cheese was good, pate was fine, but the salami was just weird.3. Scallops: Wow $30 for 3 little scallops? They tasted very fishy, and there was sand in the scallops. I was prompted to ask whether the scallops were fresh or frozen. When told they were "fresh", I concluded these must have been held-over stock in a refrigerator. I know what FRESH scallops taste like, and they do not taste like ones I ate! Only thing good was the squash sauce. Again, really unsatisfying.4. Striped Bass: Fish was at least fresh and appropriately prepared. Nothing particularly wrong with the dish but there was no flavor to the dish at all. Unmemorable.I'd say the only that impressed was the fresh bread. But for the price and expectations set by the restaurant, this was a real miss!
Terrain never disappoints Their food is always delicious and fresh. Outside dining is the bomb! And service was terrific. I will continue to go for lunch on a regular basis. So happy they opened up their patio dining. Just lovely.
Have had nothing but great meals here. Could use more seating, but overall a great spot. The scallion butter and potted bread you get while you wait is a game changer.
Wonderful, delightful, whimsical, fun. And good food!!!
Quality food, good service

Really nice atmosphere and good coffee drinks, but the food and service was just meh. Not worth a visit for brunch.
the food is great, but the service is consistently not up to par. if not for the service, it would be a 5 star rating.
Love this place, hate the reservation process
Amazing place, cakes are nothing
