The place is cute service is fine. The food was tasty, but my eggplant wasn't peeled couldn't eat it. Brought it up to management. They were no help. Would not return.

Fantastic hand-made sandwiches. Make sure you order ahead because they get busy around lunch time

I understand it is early in the sandwich, but it needs some improvement at this time. I always tip for takeout and new places, so I walked away with a $14+ bill for their steak sandwich -- not very tasty, "steak" was thin and looked like heated roast beef and not steak. This is not the cheese house that we knew and loved in Palo Alto -- still looking for a replacement.

Lunch in Palo Alto before the ASU v Stanford game. Found this little joint right off Camino Real, but parking is... uhm...what parking? Alright... the sandwich - the Seatbelt Bug... was ok. Not bad, mind you, but just kinda "meh". Didn't care for whatever sauce the used to soak the lettuce in - at all! Small place. April 22 and still paranoid about Covid it appears... sheesh! But then again, look where I am. Lol! NEXT!

Way overrated and overpriced. They don't give you much meat at all. The bread is decent.

Looking for a good sandwich shop and this place popped up . I had the transmission . I liked the flavors in the sandwich but the bread was so hard. Maybe that's how it was supposed to be but I like my sandwich bread a bit softer. You know when you eat something hard and it cuts the roof of your mouth , we'll that's basically what the sandwich did. My husband had to take the top off of his. The wait time is also a little longer but we weren't in a rush so it was no biggie. I probably wouldn't come here again due to the fact the bread was too hard for my taste but then again maybe we had old bread.

Ordered two sandwiches- one Turkey and one "Transmission." Both outstanding. The sourdough bread was fantastic, everything else quite tasty. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. I'll visit again my next trip to Palo Alto.

A good sandwich place! The bread is fresh, crunchy, and soft. Good portions of meat and veggies, plus flavorful cheese. Most sandwiches are $11+tax. My "spark plug" sandwich had a bit of spice but nothing remarkable; it was ready 4-5 minutes after ordering.

This place staff are too worst behavior. I ask for the restroom she said that no that’s fine , after that I said because of the urgency I ask for you , but another talking too much . ??

Sandwich was meh. Lacked flavor and freshness. Also it took a long time to make. Would not recommend this place.

Had a hankering for a quick sandwich, so I found The Bug on Yelp. Ordered the Alternator Sandwich. It was excellent. The food was ready right on time and the customer service was great for takeout. I would go there again.

The place this used to be was on my hit list for the longest of time (was it Ace of Sandwiches?). So it was only after we were actually inside when I noticed it's The Sandwich Bug! I ordered a roast beef for my daughter and a pastrami for me. The makers were pretty quick and the sandwiches were neatly made. Not that I wouldn't mind a messy overflowing sandwich. My daughter enjoyed hers and she is not a sandwich person. But she could only eat half because it was a pretty good size. My cousin ate the rest in about 3 seconds a few hours later. The pastrami was good. not great, only because I've had ones that were just true gut busters and lots of sauce. This one was demure. Naturally, Sandwich Bug has to have it's own proprietary...Bug Sauce. Yum. Really, it's about 3+ star, cos the sandwich biz, monster rolls, dripping juices and 20% of the innards gushing out on every bite to get ranked way up there. But it's local and the place is cute so it gets pushed up a little.
